Who is your favorite character from either series?

My favorite from the book "The Hobbit" is Beorn the Skin Changer. My favorite from the LOTR books is Old Tom Bombadil (obviously)

My favorite from the LOTR movies is probably Samwise. I didn't really like the "Hobbit" movies (because Peter Jackson didn't follow the books at all), so I don't really have a favorite there (although i did sort of like Radagast because of the bunny sled).
