Ah! Okay, I'll write more so I don't get eaten alive!
Dear Noobcake,
There was a soft whirring, and soft thuds, soft footfalls. Then the door was filled with a shadow of a wolf made entirely out of metal. The one I had seen with the statue at the park. Pure black, almost alien eyes considered us, and then it opened its mouth.
"Hey, Kk, come see what you caught with the bait!" it said in a high pitched girl's voice. It had a odd monotone to it, like a robot. Maybe it was a robot.
Loud stomping could be heard, and then the statue from the mall poked its head around the door. Its mouth slowly formed into a grin. Its teeth were steel. "Great, Meta. This is great!" it said in a growly, slow female voice. It turned its head with a loud noise that made Beauty, Veea, and I clamp our paws over our ears. "Oy! G! Bring your girly and come look what your friendly friends are doing!"
"What the heck, Gothie?!" I heard Heidi say.
The metal wolf looked back, and sighed. "Oh my gosh. You're such a turd, G. I'll do it." She disappeared from view, and seconds later was dragging Heidi behind her.
Heidi knows a lot of words a child should not hear.
I clamped my paws over Veea's ears.
Gothie was following behind, looking the most thoroughly dejected as I had ever seen that depressed wolf be. "Sorry," he muttered.
"Leave off the formalities, Gothie," said the stone wolf coldly. She flexed her claws. "Let's get to business. You may have been friends with them, but we don't care. I want to care, but I can't."
This was too weird. Heidi was struggling against the metal wolf, and Beauty rushed at her, so I had to trip her so she wouldn't get hurt. So of course she rounded on me, growling.
"Stop this," the metal wolf commanded. Her eyes flicked from Gothie to the stone wolf to us. "I'm Metallic. My stoned friend is Keiah, and you have known Gothie for a while. We're here for something you all have."
"What?" I asked indignantly, letting go of Veea and advancing on Gothie. "You were our friend! You were awesome! You broke into jail for me!"
"We needed...I need you for something," Gothie said sadly. This was the most emotion I had ever squeezed out of him ever.
Freaky.
"What?!" I yelled at him. "What do you need?!"
Gothie's mouth twitched, and then folded his arms.
Keiah huffed angrily. "Really. Weakling." She turned her head to face me, and I flinched at the noise. "Your body. Yours, Beauty's, and Heidi's."
This was.
No.
Like a movie.
This doesn't happen in real life.
Like ever.
"Why? What the...is this some really cruel joke?" said Beauty, almost hopefully.
Gothie shook his head. "Have you ever felt your heart beat?"
This was such an odd question I stared. "Yeah, duh. Don't you, weirdy? You have blood, you kinda need a heart."
"I have neither," said Gothie softly. "I'm just a doll. A pathetic sham. I shouldn't even be alive."
"There he goes with the feelings," said Keiah. "His soul was more intact than ours."
Souls. Bodies? What?
Apparently this showed on my face and Gothie stared at me, button eyes intent. "You're all here because you're important. Years ago...I was just a puppy. I was real. I had flesh and blood and I cried when I fell down the steps. Keiah and Metallic too. Then a wolf in white came and took us away." Gothie began to pace.
"It's funny, how life all turns out. How one day you're eating a pancake and the next day you're eating nothing, you need nothing, you feel nothing. Just an empty soul in a glass bottle. Shocked and filled with water to see if souls are different. I felt nothing. That's when Snowie came, and smuggled me away. There was no way to hide me, so I hid in her mind." His upper lip twitched.
"I drove her crazy, man. She did it with Metallic and Keiah too, and made bodies for us. By that time, she was so...not the same."
Metallic stared at me coldly. "A scientist there was your mother, Beauty. She knew. She never batted a lash." She whipped her head around to face me. "Your father, Xialburg, was a pilot. He was supposed to transfer us from laboratory to laboratory if someone got wind of what they were doing." She gazed down at Heidi, snarling. "Your father, Heidi, was the head of the lab. So, what better way to get our bodies back by getting our revenge on the very wolves that made us what we are?"
Gothie blinked slowly. "Sorry, Wingman. I don't want to kill someone innocent."
Wow. This is just GREAT.
BEST DAY EVER.
...okay not so much Lt. Sarcasm...
Bye Noobcake.
Freaked out? This is written in a journal. It's all goooood! Or maybe I'm lying. This could be written by him in wolfy heaven. Mahaha.
