Laki
I picked this name because it somehow reminds me of the wild. I picture Laki as a wild wolf, with a raven as a friend. Her name is Laki because it reminds me of a shy, protective, loyal, but 'trying-to-show-of-y' type of wolf, and that is exactly her.

How she found her raven;;
The wind rippled through the summer leaves, as small Laki stumbled through a small stream. Her parents, Ma and Pa, had been very strange lately. Every time she came near, her Pa would bark "back of greedy thing!" or her Ma would yip, 'stay back! I caught this deer, I will eat it!". Laki had desisted to run away. She was pretty old now, and she could catch a mouse! She once even caught a squire, but of course Ma and Pa paid no attention. When she reached the other side of the stream, Laki could smell rain on the wind. She stumbled out, and hid behind a small bush, for the night. At night, the wind blowed and howled, as rain started to piter-pater down. By morning, Laki was even more soaked than she had been before. Her fur was stuck to her sides, and her pelt drooped down with wetness. The rain was still going, but Laki got out of her make-shift bed, and started to look for food. She could here a soft scuttling sound, a mouse most likely, so she dropped down and began to move slowly forwards, not making a sound. The she herd a high pitched "SKWEEK!'' and the flapping of wings, and the mouse, was gone. Sadly, Laki turned around, just to come face-to-face with a raven! She had never cought a raven, but maybe she could now? She leaped up, and the raven flew up, skwaking out in a funny voice '' Friend! Are you my friend?''

SPACEAvery had been wandering as a pup one day and had gotten lost. Scared, she curled up in a birds nest that had fallen to the ground. Later in the night some sort of black bird came to the nest. Avery, shivering and cold, had opened her eyes breifly, but as soon as the bird settled over her, its warm body pressed against her, Avery fell back asleep. After that, they've been nearly inseperable.
