I have quite a bit of trouble with that because for the mpst part I can only come up with plots that take at least sixty pages to fill. I t gets quite annoying because I can't often finish the long ones.

Figure out what your story is about, think about who your hero or heroine will be and create their background/personality, and finally add a part of yourself to the character and start writing.

Well that's my experience in writing. Fanfics I keep in my head (like Sirda) or make them into role plays like (Mya).

      Whoops.
      I wrote a thing.
      A really stupid thing.

But, uh, tell me what ya think?
I'll probably post it on my poetry thread tomorrow.

"spate"

Spiraling down
Running darkness down

Chattering wind
Makes all men sin

Into the waters
Of deep murky fate

A demon awaits
Young easy to taint

Peering and waiting
For a change to take place

On a throne of bones
With a crown of scars

Looking up to the stars
But held down by the bar

Whispers ensue
Speaking of the date

Another is built
Crafted to hate.

Not really, its a bit different. It was partly based off of the chimera aspect, but there are no alchemists, just normal humans and chimrras n.n
I appreciate your feedback, I'll try and finish the first chapter on the road tomorrow.

Do we have to be accepted or can we just post a form and start typing?

It's auto-accept. So as long as you've filled out the form you may start posting and taking part in discussions ^-^

Ok thanks. I just thought of this really great idea but I can't get started writing. I always have truble starting stories. Anyone have suggestions for how to get rid of this "pre-writing block"?

Hmm.
Always start with a dramatic and extremely short sentence; it provides a better effect and gets your readers hooked right away. I like to start with a calm but curious scene, often a flowing conscience or such. Honestly the short sentence thing makes such a difference c:
Just keep note that because usually the start is kind of and introduction don't bore your reader with explanations; weave some in sneakily and leave some to be revealed later. I often restrain from explains things in a direct way.
Hope this helps!

fullmetal: Ah. ^^

Pseudonym question: I might use one if I ever get a book published. But it would probably be something my friends would know so that they know I'm not lying. That and the fact that they would have been reading the manuscripts. :)
