The Rainbow After the Storm (Heavy Rain RP.)

Shaun, with shining eyes, looked up at Ethan. "Daddy, really?" He yelled out of pure excitement. With a burst of new found energy, Shaun cleared the board of the game pieces and packed the board in the box. He smiled and threw the lid on the box, shoving it back in the closet. "Let's go, Dad! " He took Ethan's hand and began leading him out of the door when he looked up. "Can you even go? What did the doctors say?"

Carter rose an eyebrow. " 'Normy' is around here somewhere." He sighed and looked at the door, half expecting him to bust through it. He repositioned. "Uh, great that you can leave in a few days!" He said with half baked enthusiasm. " Norman would be glad to hear that...if he were here." he growled, wondering where he went to. He went gallivanting off to Ethan's with that Madison girl.

Ethan nodded. 'Yeah, they said that I could leave today. Everything looked fine." he said. But, they couldn't figure out why I went into the coma in the first place..he thought to himself, though he didn't say that out loud for fear of scaring Shaun. He led his son to the doors, gripping Shaun's hand tightly(though not tight enough to be painful.)

Grace watched with a smile, saying a quick goodbye to Shaun as to not ruin the father-son moment and exiting herself.

Something made GB doubt all that(maybe it was the tone Carter was saying it in, or maybe it was just her own doubts), but she shrugged her shoulders with a smile anyway. "Where'd he go anyway?" she asked.

Shaun smiled up at his dad before running over to Grace and hugging her goodbye. "Bye, Mommy. I love you!" He whispered. He returned to Ethan and beamed up at him, the thoughts of all of their adventures running through his mind. "Alright, Daddy! Let's go!" He felt Ethan's hand wrap around him, smiling. "I'm glad you're ok, now."

Carter shrugged, too. "To be honest, I have no idea where Jayden is. Last time I saw him, he was going to Ethan's room with Madison." he explained, looking over at Zayden. "Have you seen him?"

Grace smiled down at her son happily. "I love you too." she whispered back, wrapping her arms around him quickly before waving goodbye.

Ethan laughed slightly. "I am too, Shaun." he said, buckling him up in the car. He got in the driver's seat and started the engine, stretching slightly before backing up to pull out of the parking lot.

Zayden shook his head. "Last time I seen him was the last time you seen him too." he told him.

GB looked out of the window. "Oh." she said. She thought for a moment while staring out of the window. "Does it snow here a lot?" she asked curiously.

Shaun smiled at his dad in the mirror as they pulled out of the parking lot. "Dad, what are we gonna do first!" he asked excitedly. He gave a quick glance out the window and then back at Ethan. It was getting just a tad dark. But not enough to stop the fun. Shaun smiled as the many adventures they could have shot through his head. He stared over at his dad again. "Dad, can I drive?" he shouted with a laugh, his voice slightly higher from excitement.

Blake repositioned and rolled his shoulders. "Snow? Yeah. It does, actually. Sometimes we get about 12 inches if we're lucky." He flicked his eyes to the window and then back at the girl in the hospital bed. "When it isn't raining, that is." He slightly rolled his eyes and grumbled, " Of course, I forgot it even could stop raining. " He smiled. "But it does snow rather well here. Enough to make at least two snowmen in your yard, if that gives you any indication."

Ethan shrugged his shoulders. "Whatever you would like to do first, Shaun, we'll do it." he said, glancing outside at the sky that was growing darker. "If we don't have enough time for everything today, we'll just do some of it tomorrow." he said. He laughed slightly. "Uh, I think I had better drive!" he joked.

"12 inches?!" GB gasped. "Wow, that's cool!" she exclaimed, laying back down and resting her hands on her chest. "I love snow. I've never built a snowman, but I bet I'd like to!" she shouted. "I hope it snows here soon. As much as it rains, it should if it gets colder." she said somewhat to herself.

Shaun smiled. "Hm. Let's...let's go to the movies, alright, Dad? Or we can eat or go to the park!" The ten year old was practically jumping up and down in his seat he was so excited. "Let's eat, let's eat!" He kept chanting. "Where do you want to go? Mexican? Chinese? It's getting later, but I don't care!" He laughed. Shaun was just glad that Ethan was safe. "I really missed you, Dad. " he repeated.

"You haven't?" Carter questioned, then cleared his throat. "Well, we get enough snow for it!" He laughed and shrugged. "Yeah...it does rain a lot. It rains all the time." He rubbed his hand together as if it was getting colder in the room as they talked. "But, come to think of it, it's been raining non stop for the past month. More so than usual." he added, popping his eyebrows. "It seemed to lighten up for a few days, but then it starting pouring again...about the same time we started having reports of the Origami Killer again. Strange, huh?"

GB looked genuinely surprised. Yes, of course she knew everything about what was going on. She knew a lot more than what Carter did about their little case, but she just found how their weather worked odd. "Yea, that's really..weird." she commented, looking down at her lap.

Ethan thought for a moment. "What are you in the mood for? I don't mind where we eat." he said. He smiled warmly, glancing back at Shaun in the mirror. "I missed you too, Shaun." he said quietly.

"Let's go...to eat...MEXICAN!!" Shaun yelled, pretending to be dramatic. He laughed at himself warmly and looked back up at his dad. " Let's go!" It was quiet and warm in the little car as they made their way down the road. Shaun watched some rain splatter on the window and blinked, his young mind starting to wander into his imagination. "Hey, Dad?" He slowly tore his gaze from the rain to the back of his dad's seat. "Why does it rain so much?"

Carter shrugged. "Strange how thinks work out. " His mind kept flicking back to that origami. That origami lion they left on Grace's lawn. He wondered what Grace would do with it when she found it. As the rain picked up and beat down even harder, almost in a rhythmic pattern, Carter flinched a little and turned back to Graybay.

GB looked outside before looking back to Carter and stretching. "Well, I guess I'll try to get to bed. At least if I sleep this may go by faster." she said. "Um, thanks for coming, though." she said with a smile.

Grace walked down the sidewalk that led to her front door, unlocking the door casually and going inside. It was a normal day for her.
Nothing was in her yard. All was quiet.

Ethan laughed. "Alright. Mexican sounds great." he said, turning off and heading towards the nearest Mexican restaurant. He blinked, puzzled at the question before shrugging. "I don't know, Shaun." he admitted. He had to be honest..it never used to rain this much. Not before..
He shook his head. "Just the weather here, I guess. Maybe it'll stop raining so much soon." he said thoughtfully.
