(Oh sorry! The nursery thing was a complete fluke Dx And I thought they would have been able to open their eyes by now, sorry! Just scratch that post then I guess ;) And yes, I read your post, very nicely done actually ^^)

Ravenkit limped painfully up to his sister, eyes dull and emotionless. "Ravenkit? Is that you?" came Featerkits tiny, weak voice. Ravenkit was slightly taken aback. He understood why she wouldn't be able to scent him, since all you could smell in the sunclan camp now was blood from the battle that had occured several sunrises ago, but why wouldn't she see him...? That, he did not understand.

Gathering

Creampaw pulled his tail over his paws. Had it really been only two days since that battle? He may not had done much, but the confusing scents of blood and other clans, and the destruction of their camp from the earthquake. He didn't like it, he didn't like it one bit. He had helped out hunting non-stop to help get more food, and gathered a bit of herbs. He searched for any of his littermates, and finally found Graypaw and Gracepaw, talking a ways away. He padded toward them, listening into their conversation, which was similar to most other topics going around. The battle.

"I heard that they shredded up the medicine supplies!" Gracepaw said, her voice filled with worry. "It can take many moons to repair all that. And with so many injured, what is going to happen to them?"

"I don't know..." Graypaw looked around hesitantly. "Do you think... that the other clan cats made it out okay? I don't know if anyone died..." The gray apprentice looked around. "Where's Creampaw... and Ashpaw... Shouldn't they be here by now?"

"Aw, don't be such a worrywart, they're coming. We were one of the first ones here! I'm sure that they're just running late." Gracepaw started looking around as well, however.

Creampaw almost got to them before a ball of gray fur pounced on him. The creamy apprentice flinched and lashed out. "What the--?"

"Aw, Creampaw, it's just me!" Ashpaw of Fireclan said. "You shouldn't bounce around like a fox just ripped off your tail, I was just doing what we did as kits. I wasn't going to hurt you or anything..."

Creampaw's ears lay flat on his head in clear annoyance. "We aren't kits anymore! We're not even in the same clan! Attacking me, even while playfighting is against the rules. So don't do it again, or I'll report you."

"Jeez..." Ashpaw looked hurt. "When'd you get burrs on your tail? You used to be so much more fun."

"I--" Creampaw walked ahead. "Let's go get to our siblings." The two brothers padded over to the other two siblings, engaging in conversation.

((Okay, I don't know if I'm making Dapplepelt at the gathering or not, because of her broken leg... So, yeah...))

(Nothing happened, Shadow. If you really want to know, just read my posts on the last page. That's alright, Mango, don't worry about it. Thank you! ^^ And you're very right. They should be open by now...)

Gathering
Marshpelt cursed himself again, knowing he had been found out. But he couldn't say anything to her. Not yet. He wasn't sure of what he was going to say to Silverleaf. Would he even see her? Somewhere deep inside him, he hoped he wouldn't.

Earthpaw sighed and looked at the ground. "Well, I met this apprentice during the SunClan battle and," he looked up at Emberclaw then, fearing the worst, "I was hoping she would be here."

Ashfeather closed her eyes, stepping blindly through cats as her brother tried to steer them away from her. She picked up SunClan scent. "A little to my left, only a couple fox-lengths away," she said aloud before opening her eyes to check. "Yep! Bingo." She turned and padded towards the small group of apprentices, Foxflame trailing behind her, trying not to hyperventilate from the panic his sister put him through. He wasn't as used to it anymore.

Heathersong leapt onto the branch that wound around Centertree, wondering how long it would take for the leaders to notice the misplaced medicine cat and her apprentice. It didn't really matter, so long as they didn't mind too much. The tabby she-cat glanced up at the moon, feeling the hurry to reach the top. It was almost moon-high!

Gathering
Emberclaw let out a purr hearing Earthpaw,"Is that it? There's nothing wrong with having a friend in another clan." The Ginger warrior almost said mate as well but he didn't want to embarrass his apprentice. He then lightly nudged Earthpaw,"Why don't you go and talk to the other apprentices before the gathering starts."

Gathering
Earthpaw nodded and padded away, wondering if his mentor had guessed what he felt for Brightpaw. He really liked the pretty apprentice, in more ways than one. Mabe he could find her now. The tabby tom stepped easily around groups of friends, searching for the she-cat. There she was, under Centertree! His paws went faster and faster until...he was standing right next to her.

Brightpaw looked up from the ground, seeing a pair of paws in front of her. "Earthpaw!" she mewed delightfully. "It's so good to see you." Earthpaw looked happy to see her as well, the both of them grinning from ear to ear. "I believe you've gotten taller since we last met. Your stature is quite impressive." Earthpaw blushed, making Brightpaw laugh.

If only she knew. Earthpaw thought. She might not laugh so hard then. Or maybe she would. That thought had not yet occured to him, and it scared him. He cleared his throat, searching for a way to change the subject. "Um, how is your clan?" Not only did it serve as a good distraction from the redness on his cheeks, he was very concerned as to how SunClan was faring after their camp had been attacked by DarkClan and destroyed by, well, him.

Brightpaw's face immediately grew sober, and she hesitated before speaking, wondering if he really wanted to know. "Not so good. The warriors den isn't functional, Petalsong and her kits are in the leader's den, herbs are becoming scarce again, and I just don't know what to do. Petalsong is still unconscious! There isn't enough room for us all. Many cats are sleeping outside, including me. Flowerface has to stay with Petalsong night and day, and the rest of us have to hunt, gather herbs, and repair the camp all day as well. We don't get enough sleep, and we don't sleep well when we do find time... It's awful!" She looked at her paws, embarrassed at her outbreak. She hadn't meant to tell him all of that.

Earthpaw's eyes deepened with sympathy. "I'm so sorry, Brightpaw." He layed his head on her shoulder in a form of cat hug. "If there's anything I can do to help, I will." The tabby apprentice pulled away and looked her in the eyes. "Anything," he repeated, waiting for her answer.

Brightpaw closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth and comfort of his embrace. "Nothing. There's nothing you can do for us."

Ashfeather bounded up to a cream-colored apprentice that smelled of SunClan. "Hello, there. What's your name?" she asked, putting on a grin that should dazzle the small tom.

Gathering
Islandsong sighed and glanced at the sky, thinking about many things. She wondered how SunClan was doing, how the other clans that helped were doing and Marshpelt. He seemed different tonight and she was slightly worried, wondering if she had done something wrong although she couldn't think of anything. The cream colored she-cat sighed, toms thought she-cats were confusing but toms were too complicated to understand.

Emberclaw purred in amusement and he thought of the she-cat he had seen at the battle. By now he knew she was DarkClan but that didn't matter to him. Something had happened between them and he wanted to know what it was, he had never gone weak like that because of a she-cat and his heart beat quickened just thinking about her. The large ginger warriors pinned his ears back wishing he could see her again and speak to her to find out what she was like.

((Your post was great Tink, I don't see how you think it was bad. Shadow, you don't really need a recap, just read the last page as well as the two posts before yours on this page. That's mainly what has happened at the Gathering so far. . . Not to mention Tink's post before that, at the bottom of the page. It shouldn't take you too long to read those posts. ^^ I apologize for not posting, I though I had posted this quite a while ago. . . Sorry for the crappy quality, I was in a rush when I wrote it and am too tired out to rewrite it. Two hours of yoga and four hours of horseback riding isn't very easy with about half the amount of sleep I should be getting. x.x"))
Gathering
Bloodstar’s paws ached in curious anxiety as he started his ascent up the Centre tree in order to claim his rightful place among the leaders of PowerClans. He sunk his claws into the soft bark of the colossal tree and gradually worked his way up; leaping from branch to branch by using a mixture of speed and strength but also being aided by the cat’s natural ability to climb trees – he was perfectly safe among the dark, wide-spread branches that spread countless fox-lengths in almost every direction as if the great oak were a giant bird preparing for flight. His appetite for information was ravenous, and it clawed impatiently at his insides – it was all he could do to refrain from screeching numerous questions at those whose knowledge could satiate the burning curiosity within. Particularly Sunstar, for it was his Clan that had suffered DarkClan’s attack. His paws stopped moving abruptly; his claws remained tucked firmly into the wood half-way up Centretree; his hard muscles supported his weight with ease as he hung suspended far above the ground.

DarkClan. Icestar. Memories of two nights ago immediately flitted to the forefront of his mind, and he experienced a mixture of guilty pleasure as well as a blazing bout of infuriated shame along with the simpler feelings such as the humiliation of falling under the temporary control of Icestar. The muscular white tomcat had mistrusted his half sister, and in return the seductive murderer had lost her patience and resorted to a few heartbeats of controlling him and placing malicious thoughts inside his head. Despite the unspeakable act, he couldn’t deny that inside he had enjoyed himself, the barriers that had towered between the half siblings during the early stages of warrior life crashing down upon the pair of white-pelted leaders. The moonlight glimmering in her snowy fur, the tempting words of her voice smooth as silk, a small part of him had wanted to lose control. . .

Before his mind crept further down that particularly dark trail of thoughts, he severed all recollections of their shadows melting into one in the forest beyond FireClan camp after around the time the battle had supposedly ended and gritted his teeth. Dwelling on the past would only distract him from his duties, no matter how recent in the past it was. With forced haste Bloodstar continued up Centretree until he was scrabbling onto the smooth wood where the branches stretched out far above them but the trunk ended where he and the other six leaders stood. He silently took his place in the fork of two branches at about the same elevation of the others in sight of the numerous cats of the valley below. His crimson eyes watched the multiple colors, shades, and markings thriving in the clearing underneath the full moon, their forms illuminated by its gloomy light. The leaves caused the light to form dapples of shadows here and there; they moved as the night-time, chilly breeze swayed and rustled the many branches of Centretree. A variety of voices drifted up to his perch though his sensitive ears couldn't make out any individual conversations. He did hear the words "battle", "SunClan", "dead", and "DarkClan" quite frequently, for they were pronounced slightly louder and much more often than the other words amid the voices. His tail thrashed in a spasm of impatient curiousity and Bloodstar settled into a more comfortable position while casting a exasperated glance up at the moon; it would be several more minutes before it would reach its highest point at moonhigh.

Re: PowerClans: The Rise of DarkClan

(Thank you for posting, Rose! Don't give away too much. We want to keep them guessing. ;D Ugh, I haven't posted in so long. No one else has except for good ol' Willow. You always post when no one else will. ^^ Sigh. Most of you are here but waiting for someone else to say something, Fairy's busy with stuff, I don't know the specifics, and I feel like my life is crashing down before my very eyes. It's insane. Anyway, I'll see if I can't whip something up here. EDIT: I changed the story on the front page! You guys like it?)

Gathering
Marshpelt and the RockClan cats thundered into camp, their footsteps resounding like those of wild beasts. The mottled tortoiseshell tom craned his neck, searching for his mate. As reluctant as he was to speak with her, he knew something had to be done. Maybe Silverleaf would understand? He shook his head, realizing the unlikeliness of it. As he padded toward the grey she-cat, he stared at the ground, trying to think of what to say to her. "Hey!" her pretty voice called out, happy to see him. She wouldn't be happy to see him very soon. "Hey," he meowed half-heartedly in response. "What's wrong?" she asked when he stopped in front of her. Her light green eyes held worlds of concern; she had already caught on. And she would not relenquish the question until she had the answer. But there had to be some way to stall. Maybe if he just started talking he could find an opening. Let her down slowly instead of all at once. "Oh, nothing. Have you heard about the DarkClan battle?" he said hurriedly, trying to change the subject. Silverleaf looked suspicious, but answered the question anyway. "A little bit. All I know is that DarkClan attacked SunClan and left." Well, it would take some time to explain, so he could think while he relayed the battle story. Hopefully his mate would enjoy the tale. "Well, it happened like this..."
~~~~~~~~~~
Nightfall smiled at his siblings, wishing he could spend more time with them than he was alloted at gatherings. Everything felt more natural when he was with them. He was no longer the outsider, he was just Nightfall, the older brother. He watched Nightfire's eyes light up as she poked fun at their little brother. The orange-eyed beauty was the clever one of the three. Nightfeather shuffled his paws in embarrassment and ducked his head shyly. The youngest was also the most sensitive. Where did that leave him? Nightfall didn't find any special qualities in himself that set him apart from his brother and sister. At that moment, Nightfire turned to him, still laughing as she spoke. "What? No words of retribution from the wise one?" She said it teasingly, but her words made him realize that next to her, he was wise. Next to his brother, he was mature. He took care of them, as he had from a very young age. "Not this time. I'll keep my wisdom to myself, thank you." He smiled, and his younger brother held himself triumphantly. Nightfire simply rolled her firey eyes and looked up at the Highbranch. "I wonder when this is going to start."
~~~~~~~~~~
As Heathersong and her apprentice neared the top of the tree trunk, she became increasingly nervous. What would she say? Would she say anything at all? What if one of the leaders questioned her presence? What if her they reprimanded her, told her to go back where she belonged? All of the solutions she had worked out in her head vanished as she broke through the leaves. The seven cats turned their heads curiously, and the medicine cat could see questions in all of their eyes. It looked as if Bloodstar the FireClan leader would protest, but Rainstar quickly put out a paw, stopping the white tom's words. The sister's exchanged a brief look of understanding before the blue she-cat turned back around. She trusted that Heathersong was there for an important reason. The other leaders soon followed her example, although Dawnstar's questioning eyes lingered for a moment longer than the others. Heathersong sat down in relief, her fluffy brown tail wrapping around her paws. As she looked down at it, she realized her tabby fur was ruffled from anxiousness. She hastily tried to smooth it down, fearing the moment when she would have to stand in front of dozens of cats. StarClan help me.
~~~~~~~~~~
Earthpaw looked at his friend in concern. "I'm always here if you need me. Well, not here, but you know what I mean." He looked down at his paws, reprimanding himself. He sounded so stupid! Brightpaw chuckled. "I know what you mean. And I'm very grateful for it. It isn't often a girl finds a friend like you." She looked at the tabby apprentice with loving eyes. "Really?" The EarthClan tom found himself drawn to her eyes. They were so blue, bluer than the sky on a clear day. Bluer than the lake in WaterClan territory, although he'd never seen it. And then he was thrown way off balance by her single movement. The pale-furred apprentice licked him on the cheek! "Now go find a seat. The gathering is starting soon." Earthpaw nodded and padded away, almost in a daze.
DarkClan
Icestar lay on a rock high above her minions' sleeping bodies. She stared up at the stars, ignoring the fact that they were the spirits of cats who all wanted to kill her. Things were not going well. She had lost a minion, and although she had gained another one, she didn't know if Flamefoot could match the prowess of Nightscar in battle. The black tom had surely been one to fear. That was exactly why she had chosen him, sneaking into his camp in the middle of the night, whispering in his ear as he slept. She delved into his mind that very night, and it was a wonder she had been able to keep silent from the pleasure. He was already rebellious, hatred filling most of his mind. He had been easy to capture, and useful, too. Hopefully this new SunClan tom would prove his worth. Hopefully. She rolled over onto her stomach and tried to sleep, but her actions of two nights before haunted her closed eyelids. After the battle, she had stalked away, leaving her minions under Shadowfang's care. Something had to be done, and she had finally discovered what was needed to ensure the long-lasting of DarkClan. Unfortunately, she could not live forever. She had gone that night to her half-brother and... She could not bear to think of it. It had been too wonderful and too horiffic at the same time. She focused on the good parts. The warmth of his icy pelt beside hers. The firey resistance in his eyes that gave way to sinful bliss. The knowledge that he loved her still, no matter what he would admit to himself.
(*blink* I think I just gave away more than you did, Rose. Oh, well. Never mind that then. Also, I just wanted to tell you guys that you have a lot of great ideas. You should tell me them. *wink wink* Drop me a PM and I'll see if I can't work any ideas you have into the plot.)
Re: PowerClans: The Rise of DarkClan (High Positions Open!)
Postby willowsong12 » Tue Sep 14, 2010 9:41 am
((Your alive!!!! I felt alone for awhile and I couldn't post. But your back!))
Gathering
Islandsong padded after her clan and gazed around seeing all the other clans. Her blue gaze soon stopped on Marshpelt and his mate, but she didn't walk over to them. Instead she padded to the other side not wanting to start trouble or make anything uncomfortable. He most likely loves Silverleaf more than me but if he's happy then I am happy for him as well. Loving someone is hard but you only want them to be happy, even if they aren't with you. The cream colored she-cat sat down curling her tail over her paws. A flash of red caught her eye, turning she spotted Emberclaw and let out a mew,"Hey Emberclaw. Long time no see." The dark ginger tom turned and smiled seeing his friend,"Hey Islandsong. I haven't seen you in so long. How have you been?" He padded up to her as she replied. "I'm good. I can't believe you used to be an apprentice who always teased me when I was Islandkit,"she said thinking back to when they had been in the same clan. Emberclaw let out a purr as memories flooded into his head,"Ya. Those were good times and I sometimes miss those days but I still get to see you now and then."
