Anyone know any good servers? Any type, I mainly just want some good servers to play on. But I mainly want a quaint, welcoming anti-grief survival server, so if you know any I'd love to check it out. c:

If you don't mind an 18+ server (mostly for language) I've found ar15.valhalla.sx to be a pretty decent one. Everyone I've come across, especially staff, have been very friendly and helpful too. You do sorta have to prove yourself in the beginning to show you're not a griefer (which is extremely frowned upon) but after you make it past the "Prisoner" and "New" rank you become a "Builder" and can build whatever you'd like and have the ability to fly (with redstone as fuel). There are also lots of games, a balanced money system, trading, lotteries, contests, and lots of other cool stuff. Definitely worth a look.

Yea, I usually use pre-made ones from this app, but recently I've started making my own. It's quite fun.

Does anyone have experience setting up servers and would like to PM me on how to set up a simple Vanilla sever with no plug-ins?
I've been working on a map I'd like to use for it and would love some help.
If you also know anything on how to get hosting for a sever (if needed), how much it would cost, if my laptop could handle it (I'd give specs once you PM), or other things I need too do to get it up and running that would be fab as well.
It would be a smaller sever (20 max) and white-list, possibly Pvp enabled and set to normal difficulty.

I've heard good things (even though I haven't actually set up a server with them) about MCprohosting.

The should be good for setting up a small server. I hope.

I haven't made my own server but as far as I know, MCProhosting is a great option. They ran a charity server for thousands of people during a 48 charity LS for Mindcrack (which raised over $117k for childs play) without any issues whatsoever.

So, in my book, they are pretty good! They don't seem very expensive either. I'd definitely look at them if you want to start a server.

So I was playing on ar15.valhalla.sx and I was moving my house to Builder world with an admin (buk) and I was flying. So I had to go, and when I got back on, I died because I fell out of the sky and then I got angry XP

I'm a donator on a server called Everythingcraft. Its a very friendly server with Pvp, Griefing (No TnT), raiding, Hardcore world, skyblock and much more. It needs players and donations if its going to stay up. If no donations come in, the server will probably close in 2 months, I really don't want that and I really hope you give it a chance. Most my friends feel like leaving because they find the server dull and unpopulated! My IGN Is Harminer. If you see me I would love to chat, just tell me your from CS! So what is everyone's opinions on some of the new snapshot stuff? That is- the new enchanting system, new-ish villager trading, slime blocks, new stone blocks, (granite and stuff) etc..

Myself, neat new blocks! The new stone blocks (plus their smooth form) will give some more options for building, and the slime blocks are awesome! Especially for people with builds in extreme hills, you can bounce from hill to hill! And you can put carpet over them and still get the bounce effect, which is also cool if you want to hide them/don't like the color/texture of them. As for villagers go, I don't do any villager trading sooo I have no opinion.

And for enchanting, we finally get a use for lapis, so instead of skipping it every time I come across it in caves now I'll take it. Also I can use the stacks of lapis blocks I've accumulated but never used, so yay! And I also like that you can see at least one thing you'll get when you enchant an item. Fortune, silk touch, and looting won't be so hard to come by I guess ^u^ Although, sort of takes the fun out of seeing what you get with enchanting, but that also gets rid of wasting materials that go into crappy enchants (all I want is an unbreaking 3 book, enchanting table, why do you keep giving me fire protection and knockback??), and you still only get to see one of the enchants so it's still a surprise for the rest. Also, yay cheaper to repair items. I spend so much time XP grinding to repair my items, because my good diamond tools take upwards of 25 levels just to repair, even if they are all named (I might stop naming stuff now, because I'm running out of names and all my stuffs names make no sense most of the time. My best bow (power 5, flame 1, unbrk3) is called "Crispy & Delicious" for example. My efficiency 5 tools are normally named after famous race horse fillies, like Ruffian (best work pick) and Zenyatta (best work shovel) like what the heck)

As for command block stuff, I can't use those to save my life, sooo lol
