It definately depends on what it looks like, I only apply for ones I physically find appealing, if I didn't then I wouldn't be able to write for them and would get bored of them.

To me it does, honestly. I'd rather have a character (no matter what species/whatever it is) that I actually like. It makes for a better connection with the character and gives you incentive to actually USE it for something or at least appreciate it a ton. o:

It definitely matters what the mako looks like and how I connect with it. Just getting a mako and not liking it will pretty much just make me abandon it and let it gather dust which no one wants.

Looks does matter because thats how I connect with a character. I've tried out for a couple but that's because i like their design and colors, not just because I want a mako
