Once upon a time in ancient Rome, a breed of horned equines with wildcat traits was born. Perfect for battle, these creatures were fierce and knew no boundaries. They were Rome's most valuable source of income and were traded all over the world. However, when Rome fell, these creatures disappeared everywhere for over two millennium. Just recently a herd of these creatures was found, and many more are being spotted around the world, mainly throughout Europe. Many of these creatures have painted symbols or feathers on them that suggest someone has been keeping them hidden from the rest of the world...but now that they have been found, will you have what it takes to make one your own?

There is no adoption limit for the species, but you can (currently) only adopt one a week.

-The parts of the coat like the appaloosa blanket, tiger stripes, leopard spots etc. are most commonly known as "patterns".
-The symbols painted on to the coat or feathers attached to the body, as well as other accessories are known as "markings".
-The things on their heads that most people would call "antlers" we call "horns".
-The Females known as "Queens"
-The Males are known as "Toms"
-There is no special term for young'ns (because it would be weird to call a baby equine a kitten)

Common
The most common designs in the species are
-cat-like patterns and
-normal horse patterns

Uncommon
-Non-realistic base colors
-whites
-full-body cat patterns (like entirely leopard spotted or entirely tiger striped, however, Bengal is excluded from this for it does tend to span the entire body length)

Rare
-Many MCs have markings that are various symbols with various meanings (and sometimes no meaning at all). It is rare to find an MC with Mayan, Egyptian, African and/or Aboriginal symbols for they cannot reproduce properly in these areas.

-Breeding WILL be introduced once there is a reasonable amount of people interested, so quit asking.
-Each MC will have different rules regarding how to adopt it
-I won't disqualify you if you add little decorations or mess with the format or coloring, but do keep in mind any of those little "extras" won't count when I judge
-Anyone over 200 posts may adopt
If you are caught...
-stealing a design
-using someone else's equine as your own
-lying about breeding permissions (more to come later on this subject)
-Making a species that greatly resembles this one
-or insulting or giving someone grief for winning, you can and will be banned from anywhere to a week to permanently.

Breeding Basics

Breeding is as easy as getting a male and female with characteristics you like and submitting a form to your chosen artist. All breedings are free and you are allowed to suggest 3 features that you would like on your foal as long as it is found on one of the parents. There are a few rules to follow in order to successfully get your foal:

Rules
-You may only request a breeding when an artist says they are open
-You must fill out the form completely to be accepted for a breeding
-You must link to the parent's adoption page, not just the image
-You may decide AFTER the foal is born if you want to keep it or put it up for adoption. I don't want anyone stuck with an equine they don't like!
-You must have quoted permission from the owner if an equine used in the breeding is not owned by you
-You must PM me the form
-Please put Breeding Request in the title of your PM or you will not be accepted
