No problem! I'm glad I was a little helpful! :3
I buy most of my altar things from Wal-Mart or Ross, but even more often I find things from around the house, outside, or at flea markets. For example, my chalice is a seashell that holds a little water. My altar has cost me maybe.. Thirty or thirty-five dollars in total. One warning I will give you is this; shops that sell metaphysical goods tend to charge a heft sum. Sometimes it's worth it, sometimes it's not. If you plan on shopping at a place like that, be sure to take your mother. Tell her what it is you need, as well as anything that you can think of that may be a good substitute {eg. a seashell instead of a chalice}. Your mother may be able to help find things that will work while not breaking your bank account.

But I haven't really seen a good site that really explains Wiccan beliefs, so I wanted to know some basic rituals etc that you guys follow ^^
I am not really any religion right now, so I kind of consider myself an atheist, but recently I've found out about Wicca and I was thinking maybe I could try considering myself Wiccan for a bit, since it kind of clicks with me. But I wanted to know about it a bit more first C:
Thank you so much for all and any help given, and I apologize if this is against the rules <3

I don't think it should be a problem at all, though I'm not the thread owner. ^^
When you say Wicca clicks with you, and that you may want to try it, can you explain to me what you mean? Wiccans believe in a higher power, while atheists do not. Are you beginning to believe in some sort of God or Goddess?

Lets see, Wicca.. Wicca is unique in that there are no set paths for a Wiccan to take. You make your own path. Some choose to follow various traditions, but there are others, eclectic Wiccans like myself, that create their own tradition of Wicca. Because of this, there is no real explanation of Wicca that is accepted by all.

Most Wiccans that I know hold a few things true: The Wiccan Rede, which is "An it harm none, do as ye will". Most of us celebrate the Sabbats and Esbats. We understand that nature is sacred. We celebrate the quarters/elements {some celebrate Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, while others do the Sea, Earth, and Sky, etc.}. We believe in Karma and the Power of Three, as well as reincarnation. We believe in The One, a being that we as humans can't really know, and use God{s} and Goddess{s} to personify The One so we can connect with The One more fully.

Again, I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things as I watch Shrek, so if you know of any other relative constants in the Wiccan traditions, please post them. Also, if I made any mistakes, please let me know. :3

Not all wiccans even believe in a higher power. There are so many varieties of wicca that it really depends on what you want to believe. Wicca is very open and new branches of religion so new beliefs sprout up all the time.

That's very interesting. I have never personally run across a branch of Wicca that doesn't worship some form of higher power, be it "The One" or a version of It, one or more Gods, one or more Goddesses, a Lord, or even nature in general as their deity. I thought witchcraft was the practice and ritual without the celebration of the deities/deity.

As did I until lately when I was having a conversation with my mother. I forget a lot of things people say and all I remember was that I was having trouble believing in a deity and mom said I didn't need to give up on Wicca because some branches didn't have one.

Form of wicca? : Pagan...I suppose?

Comments of any sort?: I'm currently in a struggle trying to "label" my belief system. I have always been an atheist, with no belief in a higher power. But I am also Pagan in the sense that I have a very deep respect for nature and the natural forces (although I do not personify those forces).
I was brought up in a mostly Christian community, raised as an atheist outsider, and now I want to learn more about Wicca because a few years ago, my grandmother gave me a set of Faerie Tarot cards (which, if I'm not mistaken, have something to do with Wicca). I proved to be very gifted at the art of Tarot...almost abnormally powerful. Later, it would be revealed that I am also gifted at the art of healing with plants. Also, ever since I was a young child, I've had a special connection with trees and nature itself. I would go out into the woods, and sit alone, and be able to feel the energy of the Earth around me.

So, what I ask of you is this...
can you help me?
I just want to know what is going on. I'm almost...frightened of myself. I've foretold births and deaths. I've seen the Past, Present, and Future in stunning clarity. I've sensed things, spirits (of a sort) perhaps, during my woodland wanderings. I've read into my own future using my Tarot cards, over and over, with the same result...I've got some kind of "great destiny". And sometimes, I feel like it is crushing me.
Where did these "powers" come from? None of my family is "like me", as far as I know...probably the only reason my grandmother picked up those cards is because she was enchanted by the faerie artwork on them. (She leads a very Pagan-Atheist life, even though I don't think that she realizes the Pagan part)
Does it have something to do with my ancestry? (My ancestors came from Ireland, Scotland, England, and Wales, among other places)
or perhaps my Celtic Zodiac...I've read that people like myself (Elder tree/Raven/Falcon/etc.) have a higher tendency to do these things.

Also...should I start studying magick? I really want to, but I'm not sure how my family would react. I'm not sure how I would manage, anyway, seeing as I'm only a young teen. (Yes, too young to be posting in the 18+ forums, but this needs adult answers, don't you think?) I'd probably end up being quite solitary in my practice, and learning at a slow pace. Especially since I'd have to save up money to buy books and things.

Can you help point me in the right direction, with any of this?
Thanks SO much for any replies I might get, and I'm dreadfully sorry for cluttering up your club forum with my long post. I just really need someone to guide me right now, at such a crucial time in what might be the start of my magickal education.

Feel free to message me if you want to talk.

I think that Druidry or Celtic Wicca might be the way for you to go. I have a few books in my library that I think might help you out if you can get a hold of them; The Path of Druidry by Penny Billington, A Brief History of the Druids by Peter Berresford Ellis, Faeries (the deluxe collectors edition) by Brian Froud and Alan Lee (faeries were a huge part of Celtic culture), and Celtic Myths and Legends by Peter Berresford Ellis. You will learn a lot from these books. My suggestion is trying to find them in your local library and recording things you consider to be important in a journal of some kind (this is what I did when I started out). And as it so happens, I read tarot cards too and am also very good at it. My thread can be found here. If you have any further questions don't be scared to pm me (:

By the way, I have a mini book of Celtic astrology (Ogham as it is called). If you tell me the month and day you were born, I can tell you what your Ogham letter and tree is. (:

Ah, thank you very much! Already, I read the word "Celtic" and it seems less foreign to me. Thanks for recommending those books...I needed a good place to start. I was born on December 2nd, by the way, so I think I am an Elder tree.

You may also want to parouse this site and others connected to the group. thay had some lovely videos on youtube aswell wish, I still had the link.. mayhaps you will find them? Druidry and Wicca have much in common atleast in my opinion.

*I am not affilated with the site or group unless you consider giving them a like on fb affilated :)

Yes your Celtic astrology tree is Elder. The Ogham letter is Ruis, the color associated with it is red, and the stone associated with it is jet. (:
