Perhaps put the date/time the round ends on the front page? That way, first off, people aren't getting disappointed because they found the thread right after the round ended, and, though they really connected with Character X and spent all night and half of the day planning a form, they can't go for it, and, second, they aren't spamming the place by asking how much time is left/when's the next CD/Blahdyblahdyblah. It'd be a little extra work, and it'd be something else to clutter the first post, but... yeah.
Well, everyone (IMO) should know by now that they tend to end on Saturdays, and Atwood seems to usually give a 24-hour warning, and then a second warning when they're being collected to edting forms, and then a third warning when they're completely closed. And if anyone is posting on the thread to ask those sort of questions, it probably means they didn't take the time to read the front page to begin with since they're posting on the thread at all XD
But my $0.2, but P:

I get what you mean, Mokapi, but I'm referring to the person that just stumbles onto the thread- like, if I've never seen TAN before, just found it, and connected with, say, Kam's ram (Only thing I remember that was up this past round). It never says on the front page when the round ended, and I might have filled out an entire form in one go for him five minutes ago, or something, only post post it and get yelled at because the round ended last night, and I should have known that, and yet didn't, because the information is not glaring at me right in the face. Not everyone stalks threads before they post. :/

As someone who only recently started watching TAN, I didn't know when the round I came into started and when it was going to stop. And I realize that I'm a wait and see before jumping into things gal, but not all are. And even with reading the first page fully I wasn't sure when things were going to be finished for the round I'd stumbled into. Granted, I'm a speed reader and if I miss it the first time, reading it again and again doesn't mean I'm going to not miss it.
Basically I think that a noted Start date and End date would be a good idea.

The rounds always end seven days from when the donations are put up, and I try to always start the form collection at 5-6 PM forum-time, so adding the date and time to when a round will end would be easy. :3 The problem of someone coming to an adoption thread too late to apply for a character they really wanted is unfortunately fairly unavoidable, as is people asking questions that are already answered on the front page, but adding a more visible end date and time as well as a notice of what things are open or closed at the moment would probably help clear things up. ^^ The main issue before was coordinating that since Wendigo and I aren't necessarily on at the same time, but now I can just abuse mah modly powerz and edit the main posts as needed. XD
Edit: Okay, I've added to the first post at TaN with that information - the 'end-date' spot will be filled in once the next round is underway with date and time like so (as an example): "Sept. 12, 5:00 PM by forum-time". I'd rather not alter the title, since it's already pretty long and needs all the information already in it, but apart from that is there anything else to add in/change?

i'm considering making some designs based on songs

Not overly based on the songs to influence legal issues... more just to get the jist of the song or what ever...
anyone have suggestions?
I'm looking for 5 songs right now ><
One I'm going to do is 21 guns by Green Day
but If I really like that one I may just keep it ...
