It is said that the first Pokemon to have ever lived, before our world even existed, was Arceus. There lived only him and infinite space, and from that emptiness he created creatures of time and space, and from there the world began to take shape. From the creator were rulers of land and sea, and sky, rulers of emotion and will power, which all creatures would then learn and practice.

Among the great beings in the beginning also lived a creature known as Giratina. It is unknown whether he was among Arceus' creations or not, but some believe all of his negativity that he was unwilling to put into his creations took form as this Pokemon.
Violent by nature, he would come to be known as the Renegade Pokemon, and so violent was Giratina that he was then banished by Arceus into a place known as the Distortion World, a separate dimension from our own. Some say it is a mirrored reflection of our own, but darker, always on the other side of everywhere you go. Giratina became the ruler, in his own right, of the Distortion World, and has resided there since the beginning... but he is a violent, greedy creature.

Although simple stories of legend, some write that Giratina could never be satisfied with his dark domain, that he would steal away the unpure hearts of Pokemon that live in our light, that he shall corrupt and distort until his reign reaches more than just the shadows. In those writings it speaks of a battle of good and evil, those that might rescue our world from the clutches of the otherworld.
But those are only stories.

As the sun begins its retreat over the horizon, so goes the warmth with it, causing a shiver to ripple through your body. The calming sound of waves lapping against the shore sets your mind at peace, your final decision to be a part of a Rescue Team settled in stone. Looking out to sea, you swear you see something shining in the distance, a faint white light twinkling just for you...

It isn't until the water meets your body that you realise you'd moved forward, drawn to the mysterious light that is now, suddenly, gone. A sense of emptiness fills you as the excitement fades, your head drooping to stare into the water before you.

You enter a grand building in the center of the town, its walls are made of marble and it's covered in reflective windows. As you crane your neck to gaze up at the high ceilings, the mayor himself comes to greet you.

" Welcome to the town hall, you must be new here. Before you make use of the services and registrations in our small town, you'd best make yourself comfortable with the rules. "

Aside from the Arcanine's glorious mane and commanding presence, you notice various pamphlets and guide boards throughout the main hall detailing helpful ways to make life easier.

No Pokemon doubles.
Moves will be handled by us, and you will be notified upon leveling up which moves are available to you. Moves are restricted to what you learn by leveling; no egg moves.
Everyone will start out at level 5.

This role play is meant to be at least semi-lit, please write at least one proper paragraph.

When registering to make a rescue team, please keep in mind all will start at Normal rank with zero points. When joining a rescue team, please choose one that appeals to your Pokemon's wants and needs.
When either placing items or receiving them from storage, please place transaction in bold brown text.
Four lotto tickets are available a day, prize money is rewarded to the entire team, while prize items are rewarded to the ticket purchaser.
When selecting a mission, PM Stray Dog with your selection to receive mission details. This is first come first-served.
