The Kingdom of Theraide is a peaceful place, a kingdom of shifters, people who have the ability to transform, at will, into an animal. However, they can transform into only one animal, the one known as their "spirit animal", and this animal is dependent on their personality, their quirks. A whole range of animals can be seen, from the tiniest of lizards to the pouch-baring kangaroo.

Ruled by a Royal family descended from Royals, with the helping hand of lords and dukes as their closest advisors, this Kingdom normally lives through anything the Gods throw at them, and continues into times of plenty. Only now, the crops have started to fail. Disease is rampant through the lower classes, killing in every direction. Rumours have it that this is a punishment from the Gods, but what for, no one knows.

In an age past, a prophecy was foretold. Everything would go wrong, and war would break out. That is precisely what has happened. Now the Kingdom is split in two and each sides fights for survival. Little do they know that things are only going to get worse while their backs are turned.

ＴＨＥ ＬＡＮＤＳＣＡＰＥ

The landscape of Theraide is very dynamic. It ranges from a vast, hot desserts used for exiles to the rich soil that allows woodland to grow and beautiful meadows to bloom. It is near the center of the kingdom, with a mountain range to it's back, that the great city of Falconmoor stands, surrounded by farmers' fields, forests full of game and a roaring mountain river that passes to the west, briefly entering the city in an s shape before leaving.

Many villages dot the landscape immediately around Falconmoor, and most are farming villages, with vast expanses of farmland for livestock and crops. However, with the crops failing, it is slowly turning into a wasteland as people migrate to the city to plea with the King.
Some villages are found within the forests, and some even in the rainforests, hunting for prey and gathering wild fruits for food.

At the edge of the kingdom, there is a massive desert of red stand and rocks. The heat is unbearable here, with no shade and no water. People are exiled here for the worst crimes (except for high treason - the punishment for that crime is death) and it is rare for someone to return. those who do tell stories of hallucinations, mirages, and demonic shadows, although people pass off the last one as a result of hunger and thirst.

ＴＨＥ ＧＯＤＳ

There are three main Gods that the citizens of Theraide. Well, there are actually four, and the fourth is becoming more prominent in the fears of the lower classes. All of these Gods are shifters, and each stands for something different.

ＥＭＡＥ
Emae is the Goddess of Fertility, Childbirth, Children and Women. She is the only Goddess of the Big Four, and is said to be startlingly beautiful, with a snowy complexion, fiery red hair and bright, sapphire blue eyes. She shifts into the form of a chinchilla, and is said to have had many children with the God of War.

ＡＫＩＬＯＳ
Akilos is probably the most celebrated God in recent times, being the God of Prosperity and Peace. His most common image is that of a very tall, strong man with blonde hair and stubble, and warm, cocoa eyes. He is the older brother of Emae and shifts into the form of a red deer stag, with magnificent antlers.

ＢＯＲＯＮ
Boron is the lover of Emae, father of her many children and the God of War. The only resemblance he has to her is his pale skin, for he has long, thick black hair that fades to white at the tips, and amber eyes that are the same shade as his other form. He too is very tall and strong, and his personality is shaped by War. He is always pictured in magnificent steel armour, with a richly-furred cape and a black, steel crown on his head. Boron takes the form of a jaguar.

ＳＥＲＡＴＥＳ
Serates is the upcoming God, and twin brother to Boron. He looks like his brother in the face, but his hair is short and completely jet-black, and he wears only black clothes with no armour. Serates of the God of the Underworld, of Hate, Despair and Demons. This God takes the form of a griffon vulture.

As A Human ⇝ They call him Drazahn Aygir, the shape-shifter of the stables. This nineteen year old male is considered to be a part of the lower class, but he works with the royals during battle schemes and other travelling due to his career as the lead royal stallion in the stables. While many outside of the kingdom know that one of the kingdom's royal horses is a human shape-shifter, they are unsure who it is. Oftentimes, when a royal rides to the villages to give some sort of news from the kingdom, villagers will pet the horse, trying to figure out if this one is the shapeshifter. Drazahn's last name, Aygir, gives away that he shape-shifts into a stallion due to the name's meaning in the Turkish language.
Drazahn is most commonly found in his stallion form in the stables, but when it comes to paddock turn-out, he shifts back into a human due to his desire to walk upon two legs again. In his human looks, Drazahn has a lean and strong build due to his constant galloping as a horse. He is often conditioned and trained at the stables when in his stallion form, and this training seems to affect his human form as well. He has black-brown hair and light brown skin, and often walks around wearing what the stablehands wear so that he can easily camouflage as a human.

As A Stallion ⇝When in his horse form, Drazahn is called Obsidian, as that is the horse's name, in order to prevent the secret coming out. Of Arab-Anglo descent, the breed Drazahn is shows the outside features of an Arabian with a taller frame and stronger length with great endurance. He is the only all black stallion in the stables, and maybe the king has kept him that way so that he could tell where the horse was. He stands at 17 hh and seems to have all the qualities of a great war horse. Not only has Drazahn trained himself to gallop long-distance and dodge weapons in battle, but he is able to carry any of the King's children for a gentle canter or trot, and he knows how to jump. Rarely shying at anything due to his humanness, as a horse, Drazahn is one of the safest mounts at the stable.

p e r s o n a l i t y

Roy is often referred to by commoners as the "kid that went wrong". His sister, Christina, is often seen as the perfect queen. She's got a touch of vanity and just enough generosity to be viewed as the perfect heir. Then there's Clifton, Roy's younger brother who Roy just can't stop picking on. Clifton would be an even better heir then Roy and many are glad that Roy was born in the middle rather then the eldest. The young man can't cause enough trouble and when he isn't off flirting with the maids or other young common girls, Roy is usually in the stables trying to find the elusive shifter. He roams around in his lion form, roaring when no on is near then darting off in hopes to cause a panic in the horses and find the one that doesn't react.

Roy is very well known for his habit of terrifying the poor people's children. He sticks to the shadows and pounces out, using his feline vocals to cause a flurry of terror among school-children.. All while he skips out on his own classes.

When Roy does get yelled at he usually just responds with a roll of his eyes. To the young, shaggy man it's nothing but fun; meant to be tossed around and returned wholeheartedly and he sees no harm in giving people a little scare once in a while.

Humanity;; In his human form, Roy is a tall boy with a mane of curly, dirty blonde hair which he gets from his father. In fact, most of Roy'a appearance comes from his father. Roy's hair is simply lighter and his build isn't quite as.. experienced as Phoebus'. The boy's height, at only a few inches shorter then his father (five foot seven) and his dazzling light brown eyes make Roy a near spitting image of the King.

Animality;; As a lion Roy isn't quite as graceful. That said, how can a lion not be graceful.. the symbol of pride, courage.. then you obviously don't know Roy. He exploits his animal form using it to catch the birds of the royal family, to pick on his little brother, to scare the ever living hell out of commoners. He doesn't use his form to show that the Kensington family is something worth fighting for.. definitely not. As for the looks of the lion, well, his mane is rather short due to his age. His golden mane isn't quite filled out fully and it looks like a simple covering of extra fur which, honestly, looks rather awkward. His claws are long and sharp because Roy refuses to clip them and take good care of them. When his claws are unsheathed people can hear the click of claws on pavement and hear the scrapping of dirt.
