Celine→ I follow Mary home. When I get inside, mom is putting on her earrings. "Why are you getting all dressed up? You work in a cubicle. You don't even like, see clients." Mom glares at me.
"Well, Celine. I'm filling in for Brian tonight, so actually I will be like, seeing clients." she says, mocking me.
I shrug and she kisses me on the cheek. "Be good girls." she has her hand on the door knob, then stops. "Oh and Celine, don't even think about sneaking out. If I find out you'll be in serious trouble. Watch Mary."
with that, she shuts the door and I hear the click of the lock. I smile. "Well maybe you won't find out, mom."

“Courage is not the absence of fear but the judgment that something else is more important than fear. The brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all. For now you are traveling the road between who you think you are and who you can be.❞

Bravery is one of the most important things to me. It has been for quite a long time now. I always believed that if people were not brave then nothing would be done to make the world the place that it is. Think about that for a nanosecond. Courage and bravery are what shaped the society. If people had not been brave enough to step out on a limb, then we would have no heroes. No police men. No firefighters. No soldiers. Nothing. We would be a world without hope. And when there is nothing to hope for then what is there? So be brave. Please, please, please, don't tuck yourself away in a dusty cob-webbed corner and sit on a three-legged stool staring out your window and fantasizing about the things you could do. Do them. Be courageous, be bold, be brave.

Celine→ The phone rings and Mary goes to pick it up. I'm sitting at the table, trying to think of ways to bribe Mary into not telling mom when she says: "It's for you. Some guy names Zach." I look up and take the phone.
"Hey Zach, what's up?" I ask, pushing Mary away as she tries to listen in on the call.

Celine→ I grin, "Kind of hard not to." I tease. "Cool, I'll meet you outside. Bye Zach." I hang up the phone and push past Mary, who's eyes are wide. "Wait! You can't go anywhere! Mom said so!"
I grin at her, taking an Arizona Tea out of the fridge and popping it open, taking a drink. "Well, as long as I don't get caught then I'm fine."
"I'll tell on you."
I look at her over the can of tea. "Will you? Because you know that if you do and I get caught, I'll make life so miserable for you."
Her eyes widen even more. "Fine. I won't tell."
"And you'll stall."
she nods, "Sure, why not." I grin, ruffling her hair.
"Thanks, Mary. Love you."
"Yeah. Whatever." with that she stomps upstairs and I go outside to wait for Zach.

Celine→ I see him pull up and smile. My hair is still damp, and the hems of my jeans shorts are too. Right before I step off the porch Mary runs out and grabs my hand. "Wait What if mom calls?"
I shrug, "Come one Mar-Mar, it's not like this is the first time you've sprung me. Just work your magic." I pry her fingers from my hand and get into Zach's car, buckling my seat belt.
"Hey, thanks for picking me up." I say, smiling at him.
