"Because one day, not all that too far, Len will leave to go to college. Start a career. I, meanwhile, have no where to go. It would just be better if we called it quits here. So we could be ready for that."

"Although Len would be gone for a very long time, he will still come back to you. You know that very well, Rin. You know exactly how much he loves you. You two have the strongest bond I've ever seen. Why waste a beautiful thing when you're just going over a temporary rough spot? I know you two can get over it with plenty of love, devotion, and patience."
