Amanda arrived at school still pretty pumped. She walked to find where her class was. She saw a room and knew that it was the one. She went to her locker, filled with books and stuff that she didn't really need right at that second. She took out some books and put in some books. She sat at a desk, and looked out the window, and sighed. Amanda watched as some students climbed up the stairs into the school. She was feeling lonely, wanting to see how everybody else was doing, but she wanted to stay where she was. She could see others talking and chatting to each other, smiling and possibly all asking how their break was. She looked back at her desk and started to read. Yes, read. Even though she was the sporty one, she did like reading. She spent most of her time at home reading when she was alone. She would sometimes read books to make her fall asleep or for entertainment when everything was so dull and boring. Amanda looked up from the book, looked at the time and it was almost time to start, though it was still about 10-20 minutes. She looked around the room again and she could she 75% of the class here. She went back to reading her book.

Jason walked out of the school bus and walked into school. He searched for his class and went inside. He went to where his lockers were and put some books out and some in. Right when he was about to turn around and sit at his desk, an older student, male, bumped into him. Jason knew that he was going to be in big trouble with him. He quickly swerved past him and went to sit on a desk before the older student could do anything about it. He sat on his desk, looked around and watched other students talking about their breaks. Jason just sat on his desk, not really doing anything and wondered about the year ahead. Was he going to talk to his crush, get a girlfriend? He shook his head to himself, not knowing that he did that. Jason sank in his chair, looked up at the ceiling above his head. He watched as the fan above his head move around in circles, getting a bit sleepy and dazed. He looked at the time and saw that class doesn't start in about 15-25 minutes and saw that most of his classmates had already arrived yet some aren't there. Jason just sat there, still not knowing what to do, watching as the arrow of the clock tick-tock by.
