Mayhaps a better plot is in order rather than dumping all of us in an apt. Ideas?

*deep breath*
  • Taken captive by aliens for unknown reasons?
  • We find a mysterious door in the back of our closets, and find it opens up into a big and mysterious old house, and find other roleplayers wandering about? Mysterious evils? Like Howl's Moving Castle?
  • Roleplayers find themselves in a dream world in which they can, with synchronized effort, change parts of it? And it's pretty messed up, and whatnot, so we take it upon ourselves to Fix it.
  • We all find that we turn into cats at random times of the day and find ourselves all in a strange world.
  • Mysterious Academy of Gifted People. Who happen to be us.

    ooh ooh or they start off with regular life but when they're sleeping they all enter a dreamlike world where limits can be pushed and they find that they can do things they couldn't before. this could go any number of creative ways, such as people turning evil once they discover their dreamworld abilities, people trying to sedate themselves so they can escape reality, etc.

I find this idea extremely intriguing. I'm also reminded a bit of inception, though.

Hey guys. :3 Happy New Years! I got a new laptop so there's a high likelihood of me being on chickensmoothie a lot again.

I like this. I just don't feel like this would rp worthy. I worry about interaction dying when characters aren't asleep. Wouldn't it just turn into a, "sleep, up for five seconds, MOAR SLEEP!" kind of thing?

I've never rpd anything like this though, so I could be wrong..

    definitely could turn that way, i was thinking there would be some discussion about events that happened during the night, perhaps there could be real life consequences too? not sure ^^;

    must brainstorm more ideas....

Well, we could just not roleplay the time we're awake. Do a cut scene, and return when they're asleep. Or we could go the sleepwalking route, and have half of our/the character's brains living in the dreamworld all the time, and half in the real world.

Though that might be a little hard to write. Hmm. Maybe not.

    it's difficult to think of awesome creative plots when the character is yourself, if that makes sense ono

I guess I'm a theoretical masochist because I would love to play myself in a setting in which I'd be really not adapted for. Zombie apocalypse, or something. HAHAH I've been abducted by aliens! Watch me go slowly crazy!
