The Interactive Story! v.1

Hey there! Noticed this game on Valenth, and I thought it would be fun to share it here.
The rules are simple:

• We take a simple character, scenario, and setting, and we see where everyone makes it go!
• Add on as much or as little as you would like to the previously written portion
• Rules that weren't included in the Valenth version
  
  • Please be somewhat literate, meaning no abbreviations and the such
  • No spam

Here's the example from Valenth:
User A starts with this: "There was a stray kitty living on 4th street. It lived by the trashcans.
User B adds their portion: "One day, a kind gentlemen decided he would feed the kitty some catfood. The cat loved the food, and purred as he cuddled the man's hand. The man took the cat home."
User C adds: "The cat still loved to go outside, though, so it kept escaping through the window."
User D adds: "And then the cat became lost!..."
User E comes on with a funny/random twist: "And it wandered endlessly until it came upon the Lost City of Atlantis! Good thing it had it's deepsea diving gear on. Most cats hate water. This cat? This cat loves water."

Alrighty, now that we have the rules down, I'll start:
A young girl walked down a busy sidewalk, holding several grocery bags in her hands.

She was overwhelmed by the heavy weight, and stumbled. She

She fell, dropping the bags to the ground. The contents spilled everywhere.

Several people bumped into her while walking, and one even kicked a can several feet away from its original position. But one stranger stopped, leaned down, and began helping her clean up the mess.

The girl looked up and saw a great looking boy. "Thank you for helping me..." she said
