"You know that dare I told you about?", he said looking up at her.

"Yeah... That was her?!" I said, raising my eyebrows.

He nodded. "My friend Carter had a huge crush on her at the time. He dared me to either go out with her or..uh, a bunch of other crazy stuff."

"A bunch of other crazy stuff?" I asked. "And why would he want you to date her if he liked her?"

"I didn't know at the time but Carter wanted me to break her heart because he knew I'd break up with her. He wanted to mend her broken heart but I started falling for her, but I didn't want to love someone who didn't love me back...", He looked at his hands.

Jaxson's phone vibrated. He had recieved a text from Wynter. I do love you, doofus. was what it read. She wasn't able to sleep and decided she was bored enough to begin a conversation with him. She could hear his thoughts and thought it funny she texted him with something pertaining to the conversation he was having with Negra. After all, it's not like she had any friends.

He pulled out his phone and read it. Knowing she was reading his thoughts he thinks, 'she wanted to know the backstory, you didn't tell me until a while ago. Do you have to be nosy?'
