Since the day she first saw him out in the courtyard batting his eyelashes at a rather pretty young Kit this queen has become absolutely smitten and it enrages her as
it makes no logical sense for her to feel such a way for him when by all apperances he doesn't even know she exsists, though she rules over the kingdom in which he
lives and breaths. Honestly the thought of falling for such a player is rather perplexing to this young queen but she just can't help it. She has often found herself
staring out of the many windows in the castle just trying to catch a glimsp of his firery coat as it captivates and enthralls her. Dispite this strong pull towards
this male though she has yet to actually bring herself to meet him, weather from fear or anticipation she can not decide.

I have heard stories of the night I was born. They say the sky outside my mother's den was as black as a void in space, no light able to penetrate the complete
engulfing blackness that plagued the normally royal blue night. No star shone and not even the wind dared to move a single leaf on the tiniest tree in the forest. It
was quiet and still, the world seemed to stop in the moments before my birth. Like everything sucked in its breath and held it there, too frozen to release
it. It has been said that with each scream of pain my mother gave for the pain of her labor a bright light streaked across the sky and momentarily the world was
allowed to breath again but as soon as her voice quieted the blackness took back over and every eye watched the pale light of the den that flickered like a ray of
hope in the vast pitch of the night. As she neared the end of her birthing the flashes of light across the sky sped up and brightened, gaining a quick and furious
pace as she pushed me into the world, the night sky lighting to the beat of my furious heart and gaining pace until at last with one long and blinding flash I cried
out into the frozen night and began my life. I have always heard it was quite the magical thing to witness and take part of. I am told I am meant to do great things,
to bring a new era of time to those of my kind. I was suppose to be some sort of sign ... but I didn't ask for that.

My mother died that night, exhausted and in terrible pain, but before she let go of her light she looked down on me with loving eyes and just watched me, panting for
what little breath she could find as her spirit drained away. "My beautiful kit. The one and only of my blood and the most precious thing I could ever ammount to." She
spoke gently as she curled around me, the tail of her galaxy wrapping around my frail and gasping form as she looked lovingly at the only child she had come to bare.
"I fear I will not get to know you, nor you me. But its okay my baby girl, for one day, when you are all grown and strong like I know you will be, we will meet."
Weakly she bent and licked the top of my head. "I know no other name for which to give you but one that is strong and prideful for you must always stay like a rock
in the storm. No matter how you are battered you must survive my child. Don't allow them to widdle you away and make you their puppet, have your own mind and make
yourself known. Only then will you truly live up to what you can be. My dear Veronika. Veronika Jayde Leighton." She whispered hoarsly, gently placing her lips between
my ears and ever so gently breathing her last gasp of air over my face and body before her head sank to the floor of the cavern and she left me.

I do not know what the time between my birth and my first memory was like for no one has ever told me nor do I ask. It seems to be a touchy subject for everyone so I
leave it be. I was given to my father as soon as I was warmed and cleaned propperly. As he was told the news of my mother's passing I am told he glared down at me with
such a mixture of love and hate that the nurses where unsure if they should leave me with him, but as King and father to me they had no choice.

My first memory is of playing in the garden, the flowers around me tall and almost towering to my smaller frame. Now that I look back on it, it almost seems as though
they were dancing in the wind, though there was no breeze out that day. If was bright and father was off with the war council as always so I was left with to the care
of the several nurse maids assigned to me. I honestly never minded them, in fact several are still my dear and close friends, a few almost like mothers to me.
