I'm from Germany and I've been dreaming of visiting Australia for a really long time. I hope I'll be able to travel there at least once in my life. But I don't want to see the very popular sights (like Ayers Rock) only, but also some special things that not many people know about. Do you have any tips and know beautiful places in Australia? That would be great c:

I know I'm probably gonna be very biased towards WA (since I'm from here), but Perth is quite underrated and there are some very beautiful places here like our beaches or the pinnacles or even the Gloucester Tree down south which I have climbed 833
So, don't always go to the popular places ;3 hheehehehe

I honestly have to agree with Percy here. I live in Victoria. I lived in Melbourne for four years but moved back. Which I'm glad of. We hardly saw anyone when we lived in Melbourne. Half of my family live in a rural farming town three hours north of Perth. I absolutely LOVE the trip there. There is an amazing bakery at Bindoon that you should get to if you're over there. Perth is kind of like a stripped down city. Still with that city look and feel, but the air is fresher and kind of... I don't know... More natural somehow. The feel is warmer, too. WA has this magical untamed kind of feel with its flat red plains. Also you should see f you can get to Dampeir where the story of Red Dog is unfolded, and his statue stands. Also if you're not afraid of heights, go visit the Gloucsester tree in Gloucsester National Park. Its the tallest fire lookout tree I think, and you can climb to the top. I did when I was seven :D it was soo cool, and a Rainbow Lorikeet landed on my head haha, no one got a picture, and its claws hurt, but it was pretty cool. Anyway, haha I should stop rambling on about places I've been and memories I've made sorry! All I can say is that I really love WA and if I had to live anywhere else on Earth, it would be that haven :)

I myself haven't actually been to many places but i do know the local parts quite well. What I do know is that I agree with the others, don't just stick to the well known places, you might just want to sit back and have a look around, because you never know what you'll see.

But anyways, Merry Christmas Australia!

Here's the song:
australia, christmas comes in the middle of a very hot summer
so when santa claus delivers his presents
he's not taken around by reindeer because
they can't stand the terrible heat

he's taken around by six big, white, old man kangaroos
called the six white boomers

early on one christmas day
a joey kangaroo
was far from home and lost
in a great, big zoo

mommy....where's my mommy?
they've taken her away

we'll help you find your mommy, son
hop up on the sleigh

so up inside the bag of toys
little joey hopped
but they hadn't gone far when santa stopped
unharnessed all the reindeer
and joey wondered why
then he heard a far off booming in the sky

(boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom)

[chorus]
six white boomers
snow white boomers
racing santa claus through the blazing sun
six white boomers
snow white boomers
on his australian run

pretty soon old santa began to feel the heat
took his fur-lined boots off to cool his feet
into one popped joey
feelin' quite okay
while those old man kangaroos kept pullin' on the sleigh
hey!

[chorus]

then joey said to santa, "santa, what about the toys?
aren't you giving some to these girls and boys?"

"well, they've all had their presents, sonny
we were here last night
this trip is an extra trip
joey's special flight

[chorus]

soon the sleigh was flashing past
right over marble bah
"slow down there!" cried santa
"it can't be far
hop up on my lap here, son
and have a look around"
"there, there she is!
that's mommy! bounding up and down!"

[chorus]

well, that's the bestest christmas treat
that joey ever had
curled up in mother's pouch feeling snug and glad
the last they saw was santa heading northwards from the sun
the only year the boomers worked a double run

[chorus]
You’ve got a good heart. Don’t ever lose it.
