I like to take those sorts of tests when bored, and mine is always changing for some reason. But for the past few months it's been ISFP. The description I read describes me pretty well, I think. There are some things that are very accurate and a few things that are not. I don't feel like I meet many other ISFPs. I tend to get along best with other introverts, and I think I would get on well with someone who shares my same personality type. It's just the people who tend to post their type on their profile or whatever are never ISFPs. I wonder why that is.

I think that they hold they have some validity but I also think that your results depend on how you're feeling when you take those tests.
The last time I took it i was a ENTJ; that was a while back though because I hate sitting and answering those questions that are almost the same but worded slightly differently.

hi lacelly.
that's interesting. we both share an introverted attitude, but also have
opposing preferred functions. c: i don't think i've met an ISFP before, or
at least one that i was aware of at the time.
i suppose people commonly misinterpret their MBTI test results, which
probably results in incorrect self-labeling. that could be especially true
for ISFPs, because the 'SFP' traits are commonly associated with
extraverts. -but that's just contemplation.
-and also, hello paxis. it's nice to meet another INTJ.

Ahhh I took this test a while back and ended up getting INJF, apparently one of the rarer type of the outcomes from the test. For me it was quite accurate, as it described me quite well, but of course, not perfect. I don't 'swear' by it, but it certainly is interesting to see the results and see how you compare to the results and such.

I took a different test, and this one had a scale of 1-5 instead of yes or no answers. This time I got INFP. I looked up the profile and it seemed similar, probably just as accurate and non-accurate as the others. I would like to try some more tests and read up a little more on the types.

I've tested as an INTP in the past, but I haven't taken a test recently. I probably should, but I'm a bit lazy at the moment. Why put off something 'til tomorrow, what you can do the day after tomorrow? XD
Any other INTPs reading this topic?
I believe that the Myers-Briggs is relatively accurate. The online tests/quizzes that you take, though, I think have a lot of room for error. Questions might be answered differently, depending on mood, bias, misinterpretation of the question, etc.
I think that it's a fun way to learn more about ourselves, and other people/personality types, but I'd be a little careful before taking it as law.
