There is a thud in the forest. It repeats, and repeats, and repeats. Giant pawsteps are coming forward, magic pawsteps. Everyone stops, and listens. What is this sound? What is it coming from? Who is making it?

Amberfeather-
"Currentstar! I think it's coming," she mewed hastily, terrified. "The beast from the prophecy, it's coming!"

Currentstar
Currentstar nodded, eyes blazing. "Everyone in the dens, now! Yes it will destroy it, but we will fight the beast off and fix up our camp as best we can! It will take longer to find us if we hide for now!" She screeched, everyone bolting back to their dens.

The sound comes closer and closer, getting louder and louder to all that can hear it. Thud, thud, thud! As you start to run, you realize this may be your last day you live. But at least you will die for your Clan, fighting for it to survive.

Amberfeather-
Amberfeather raced to her den, terrified. I should be with Currentstar, not hiding she thought to herself, but didn't dare move. The beast...how many of us will be able to survive?

Nightshade
Nightshade hurried to the Warriors den and next to Amberfeather. "Don't worry, it's going to be okay. We will survive, I hope." He tried to soothe his mate's nerves, and his own. "Stay here, don't go to Currentstar. She is in here but farther away, since going in her den would be a bad idea. She is checking on all of the dens and then staying with the nursery."

The beast lumbered closer until it smelled it clearly; Cats. Then he slowed, but still let his paws thump the ground with magic. He would win against the puny cats, and he would feast! He would kill them all, and then feast til' the end of his days! The heavy, magic beast snickered and went on.

"Alright," she mewed timidly, and looked into her mates eyes. "I'm so scared, if I lost you Nightshade..." Amberfeather felt tears prick her eyes. "Please, please don't leave me," she whispered, and twined her tail with his.

Nightshade
"I wont, if you promise not to leave me. Then I may sacrifice myself to be with you and save the Clan." Nightshade whispered, eyes clouded. "Uh! I think it's getting closer.."

Slowly and steadily, magic and weight, it came very close. It could almost see the little twigs and dens hiding in that entrance.. the entrance! It was almost there, almost where his feat would start.

"Dear StarClan," she mewed softly. "Please let everyone be alright." Amberfeather snuggled closer to her mate for comfort.

Goldenstripes stared wide eyed at the entrance. He raced for the Warrior Den as Currentstar instructed. He was ready to fight for his Clan, even if it means dying.
