Becca forced out her earphones. The boy had approached her. She glared at him for a second, feeling a little startled at first. He was cute though, she thought to herself. Becca swallowed hard, "Thank you. I wouldn't exactly know what it would be like to have parents", she sighed. Her foster mother would be disgruntled if she didn't get to school on time. "I- uhm... I have to get to school", she picked up her worn out satchel and smiled at him, while getting up. "It was nice meeting you, Brett", she pushed in her chair

Brett slowly grabbed her hand and left a piece of scrap paper in her hand "you you need anything..." he said before getting up and running out of the cafe

Becca tilted her head in mild confusion. "Thanks-", she said as he rann out. She walked out slowly and made her way to her school building, walked through the gates and sighed. She walked to her locker, keeping grip on the piece of paper. She looked down at it again when she got to her table

"well you ready to go?" he asked looking at the door then slowly back at summer

Brett knew he had to go to school but he decided to ditch another day
