I downloaded the 'Faithful' texture pack (the one that adds a little more detail to the normal MC textures) from minecrafttexturepacks.com
You'll know if the texture pack is safe by the comment sections on each texture pack.

Yay I was able to fix the problem last night so mo creatures no longer is flooding me with light fixtures every time I kill something!

But my old worlds with it are useless now so I have to restart my horse breeding. Oh well! Might take a while but I WILL get a cow horse on there! 8D

Does anyone know how to reduce fps lag on 1.7.2? I usually get about 200 fps on 1.6.4, but on 1.7.2 I get crazy amounts of lag spikes and my highest fps is around 55. I messed with the video settings a bit, but it hasn't helped much. Any ideas?

Anything You'd Like To Share About Yourself: I'm rather new to the PC version of Minecraft. I've had the PE version for a while now, but just got the PC version for Christmas. I still play in peaceful and use cheats... lol I'm currently working on a large walled in.. kingdom, for lack of a better word.

Read the wiki, watch videos, and learn how to do things from that. As for cheats, just stop using it, and if you need something, go onto the wiki and see how to get it. For peaceful, just turn on Easy. At first don't go out at night until you've made armor, unless you are good at PvE/PvP. Just slowly ease yourself into it, and you'll be a pro no time. You might not want to do caves either until you are a little braver and have armor; make a mine first, keep out of the caves, that way you won't get attacked. (As long as you light up the area with torches).
