As I mentioned before, Fritzyme or any other product that has the starter enzymes for the tank "cycle" will work to quickly allow you to put in your angelfish. Otherwise, yes, it can take a week or 2 to cycle. That doesn't necessarily mean you can't have a fish in it, but I wouldn't put the angelfish in it unless it's good water. You also want to acclimate the angelfish to the new water by putting him in a bag or other container with his existing water and gradually adding a little bit more and more of the new water in with him until both the temperature and parameters have leveled out. Then net him out of the bag or container and put him in the new tank and dispose of the merged water.

She's actually doing really well. She looked absolutely pitiful in the store and I honestly wasn't too hopeful that she would make it. I just wanted to give her a home and some clean water after she sat in that cup and got passed over by so many people. I mostly bought her out of pity, but I'm really happy that I did. She's starting to color up and settle in, and she's really cute. She doesn't flare at all, but whenever she's curious about something her fins puff out. It's pretty fun to watch.
She still has burns on her gills, but they're not quite as bright red as before and she doesn't seem to be having any trouble breathing. I think they'll heal pretty quickly now that she's out of that disgusting cup.
I think I'm going to fast her for a few days, though. She eats without a problem, but her stomach is a bit swollen and she poops a lot. Her poop looks healthy, so I'm hoping that she was just overfed at the store. She's so tiny, she'll only eat 1 or 2 pellets in one sitting before losing interest.

My dad bought me mollies to go into my 29 gallon when its cycled, and there was a single fry scooped up.. it looks like a liitle white colorless guppy like extremely tny, but i think its molly fry because their mollies had spawned and i got my mollies out of the tank the fry were in in a breeders trap
My dad is saying i should put the fry in my breeders trap in one of my tanks, while the fish he bought for me are going into his tank until its cycled...
What should i do?
EDIT: And yes, i did tell my dad not to buy me fish but his excuse was that the shop had in some nice decent sized adult fish that were healthy.

Almost all live bearing fish will eat their young ^^ Your best bet to keep them alive is separating the fry from the adults or getting a very heavily planted/decorated tank so that they can hide well enough to avoid being prey.

Its one fry... its big enough to see and notice but small enough to possibly get sucked in by my filter.
What do i feed him?
