Ni kept her eye on Fritz as he layed back. "You seem very at home." She observed. She layed back too, keeping her distance from him. She watched up in the stars looking for a star to wish on. "I don't want anybody to get hurt, but my tribe wants this to end with the spill of blood. They don't know that it will eventually be our blood if they continue down this path." She said, then suddenly turning on her side to face him. "So what do you know? Do the rest of your people hate us?"

Fritz smiled at her comment about being at home. "I grew up by the sea and forests back home." He said simply. He listened to what she said as a sigh heaved from his lungs. "Many o my people want to take this land in the name o the king. They want to convert the natives of the regent to end up being settlers or slaves I would assume. If not run them off entirely." He told her. "I have seen them try such things with other tribes. It is not something I wish to be apart of." He admitted. He had come to get away from the kings grasp. His family had never been on good terms with the royals or his men. "Your people are not wrong to be careful and a bit leery. In truth it might be the best." Other tribes has come to meet them at the shore and offered to trade. They invited them into their homes and were attacked. Fritz had heard it time and again how they pretended to be friends and turned on them. This was actually the first place that they were not openly welcomed.

Ni was surprised at this response. Fritz just told her to beware of them. She stared, perplexed at him. Now something made her wonder why he was being so nice to her. He had said he didn't want to be apart of any cruelty. But she didn't want to talk much about this anymore. She sat back up on her knees and put her head to the water, wetting down her hair. She cleared her throat. "Where are you from? Do you have any family?" She wondered, changing the subject.

Fritz closed his eyes as his mind filled with his homeland. "I am from the country side of England. It is a vast place across the ocean." He told her. "I have no family anymore." He said simply. Though in truth they had been executed. Only he and his sister remained. However he had changed her name and sent her to live with friends far from the kings reach. Ni was about the age of his sister.

Ni didn't ask about his last statement. 'Anymore.' She thought she knew what it meant anyway. She sat back up, running her fingers through her hair. She suddenly began to think of what her family would end up being like in all this madness. Would she even be able to have one anymore?

Fritz grew silent as his mind started to slip into an unconscious state. He was unintentionally falling asleep. He had not slept in the night and was quite tired as it was.
[I gotta head to work. Gage should be home about 8 in the morning to post too. Night yall."

Falling Rain's words buzzed through her head all night. No agreement can be made. She was raised and taught to never take sides....though she had little to no bitter hatred toward the white men,she didn't find a problem finding a compromise..there was no need more unnessacary bloodshed. She glanced at the atepa. The warriors were still watching, but Falling Rain had left. She slipped through the doors,a painstaking memory filled her mind of who used to live here..she sighed and silently crept through the sand. She skipped a few rocks down the hill. The warriors perked up alerted, shouting. They instantly left their post.Silent slipped through the atepa and faced with the two prisoners. After a pause, she said in a solemn voice,"Why did you come here, exactly?"
"I am and always will be the optimist, the hoper of far-flung hopes and the dreamer of improbable dreams."

Ni saw that Fritz had fell asleep, and she left him on the beach. The sun was rising now, she should make her way back home. Her father would be angry to see her absanse, and she was in enough trouble already. She thought about the future on her slow walk back. She feared it didn't look well.

Ni ran out of her Atepa, bawling. It was morning by now, and her patterns noticed that she was gone all last night. She'd just received a lecture and a beating from her father about 'keeping her place.' Not that any of that is not normal, but her father said some awful mean things. She ran out of the village and climed a tree to get some privacy. She kept on crying.
