Actually no, if Rudolph has a red nose he can't be a reindeer. Therefore we must assume that Santa uses not reindeer, but deer.
And yes, but female reindeer have antlers.
EDIT: @Lady, yes, that's what I meant.

So I guess we have to assume that these linearts are deer too

In the archives they are listed as deer... so they are deer not raindeer
