hey guys, so this is the discussion topic for the salem witch roleplay. you can talk about whatever you want here, and plot with others if you'd like. you can also ask questions here as well, that way the rp thread stays nice and clean. i simply ask that you be nice to everyone that's participating, and refrain from arguing. other than that, i hope everyone has fun!

Also I did have a question. So familiars "cannot have relationships" with their witches, but are they able to with other witches or familiars?

Well. familiars having relations with their witches is a bit tricky. Familiars and their witch share a special bond, a connection that the witch wouldn't have with any other person. Through the connection the familiar can speak to his/her witch, see their thoughts, memories, and vice versa. Generally, a familiar and their witch treat the bond has a close friendship, or even as if they were siblings. However, some witch-familiar pairings form deeper feelings for each other, and while this isn't something that any one can be physically punished for, the pair could be shunned, or looked down upon for pursuing such a relationship. [I guess it would be a taboo in their world]

Generally, familiars don't particularly care about a witch who is not their partner [so to speak]. If the witch means something to their own witch, then yes, they will try to take care of them as well, but their own specific with comes first and foremost. A familiar would sacrifice their life for their witch without a moments hesitation. Their witch always comes first. Familiars can have romantic relationships with other familiars or witches if they'd like, there is really no rule against it. However, it can get strained [wow so much drama] because the familiar must follow the commands of their own witch, their witches best interests, values, happiness, protection, etc, always comes first.

I really hope this makes sense ^.^; sorry if it doesn't, heh..

Also, I know there is a rule against familiar/witch hunting pairs in the world of the witches, but are we allowed to set them up?

c: yup, so far though the only witch hunter that will have regrets about hunting the witches is the sympathizer, it'll likely take some convincing to gets the others to change sides c; and you're more than welcome to take the king if you'd like c:
