Frifth didn't trust this- hadn't from the start, but still. ''Your friend told us he'd take us to the kitchens," he told the bird type. Still, maybe it would be better to avoid the angry female Charmeleon- Or Charmander, he supposed.
He grimaced as another wave of hunger hit him. You know what, he wanted food now and he wanted the Magmas to do what they said they would!
Following the female's voice, Frifth headed off, hoping Inle was following. He would get a meal for his sister, even if it killed him.

Frifth slowed a little at the whining, realising that interrupting the fire type was probably a bad idea. Should I, shouldn't I...?
In the end, his hunger won out over common sense, and Frifth recklessly entered the kitchens, bringing Inle along with him into possible danger. If the Plusle knew the saying, he would've thought to himself, desperate times call for desperate measures...
He barely even heard the bird Pokémon over the whining and the grumbling of his stomach. Besides, he could smell delicious cooked food, so he ignored everything else around him. Yum!

Pepper turned as she heard footsteps, quickly faking a smile. "Well, what I can do for you three on this fine day?"
There was nothing fine about this day. Nothing at all. She'd made a fool of herself in front of the nice gentleman. She'd messed up his order by tripping and breaking everything.
And now her brother, her closest friend, couldn't even work in the kitchens anymore because he'd gone and evolved.

Frifth would recognise that fake look anywhere. It was characteristic of the bases- you tried not to let yourself pull the whole Team down, so you faked pleasantries until you could escape to your rooms and let it all out there. It had been that way in Aqua, it was that way here. The Teams were more alike than they realised...
"There's no rush," he told her mildly, though his stomach disagreed. "I can see you're already making an order."

"I-I can make an order! It's fine!" Pepper responded, rushing over to the two rabbit Pokemon. "What..What would you like? I'm a bit busy at the moment, but I can get yours done first. It shouldn't take as long as my big order..."
Her eyes betrayed how tired and pained she was, but she tried not to let it show. "I understand you guys are herbivores. I'll try not to make anything that's too spicy. Though I do have a habit of putting Chilli in most salads..."
