The four showed expressions mixed of fear and surprise.

"Orders from his Majesty. He has ordered us to evacuate all the elves from the underground city and to send you humans back." One, who had not a bow in hand but a sword, and was more than likely the leader, said. He pointed with the sword. "We have finished the former. Now, we must fulfil our obligations to the king. Men! Take the lady and any elf amongst this group without harming a hair on their heads. Herd the rest of them back and seal the door!"

A few of the guards grabbed Rin and Keki by the arms. They easily carried away the struggling girls.

The rest began to step closer to the rest of the group. Some shot threatening arrows. The girls and kids took a step back at every step of the guards.

The boys did the same.

[Balsam]

"We.... We can't just.... Let this happen." Teto muttered.

"What can we do?" Luka asked, sounding hopeless.

Mytho grit his teeth. "..."

"We have no one to help us..." Gakupo frowned.

[Balsam]

The girls and kids went back through the door of the library. They were still herded back to the entrance to Rin's wing.

"Is this it, then? We just give up and let them.... L-let Rin...." Teto choked up. "... Why....?"

Luka shook her head. "..."

Mytho glanced at her. "..."

Gakupo sighed.

[Balsam]

They soon were through the door, which was closed behind them. It seemed to become part of the wall.

Teto tried to open the door. She seemed desperate. "OPEN! I'll KILL them! OPEN THIS DOOR!!"

Luka put a hand on Teto's shoulder. "... It's pointless."

Mytho sat down and shook his head.

Gakupo looked at Mytho.

Teto fell onto her knees. "..."

Luka sat next to Teto and hugged her. "... What will we tell Len....?"
