"Glad you like it. Take care, Dawnstorm." Redwhisker meowed as he headed out of the den. Dawnstorm's screech of terror of a fox alarmed him but he realised it was the newcomer. "It's okay, Dawnstorm. This fox is on our side. He won't harm you or your kits."

Nightpaw and Blackpaw came padding out of the apprentices den. Nightpaw was shivering, "Can't wait till newleaf. It's cold, prey is lower and our black pelts don't go well with hunting in the snow." She pouted.

Blackpaw chuckled, "We could probably go to the cave with Ashpaw. How does that sound?"

"I see you have not heard the conversation. Me and my friend, right there, a rabbit, have come to help. The last thing I want to do is hurt anyone." Blaze said. "And Codian can barely do anything anyway." Blaze laughed, looking at Codian.

Mountainstar heard a yowl about foxes and pelted to the sound. "No, no Dawnstorm. He is a kind fox. We are going to find a den somewhere in our territory for him and his bunny friend. He gave us herbs, and prey! Don't scare your kits." She soothed, beckoning her tail to Blaze so he would calmly go away for a moment.

Blaze and Codian nodded, leaving.

Redwhisker licked the alarmed queen's ear to soothe her. "If it makes you uneasy I'll stay here with you and the kits." He offered.

"N-no, I'm fine, just a bit startled," she mewed, still a bit tense. "Exactly how long was I asleep when this happened? A fox? In our territory?" Dawnstorm shook her head quickly, and nuzzled her kits.
