Hmm, it supposed Tate wasn’t as clueless as he believed. Or, perhaps his earlier howl was just a tad too loud. Though it wasn’t very loud to begin with. Kyrasael sighed, “What is not?” he retorted, answering a question with a question. “Everyone has their worries. Mine just caught up with me is all.”

"Ah, im sorry to hear that." Tate replied with sympathy, he hesitated, "Anything you feel like you need to share?" he asked, his tone implying that Kyrasael didnt have to answer if he didnt want to

Kyrasael slumped to his side and laid there, he sighed. “I apologize, but I do not like to share.” he said. Past more so than his feelings. But they were both in the same bowl. And he wasn’t going to speak about it if he had a choice. Perhaps, someday that would change. But for now, he just didn’t wish to say much about it. “I lost a dear friend is all. And I find myself missing that friend.” not to mention that friend was his former-mate. But he did not feel comfortable saying that to someone he found… well, annoying for the most part. Though, at the moment, Tate wasn’t being too annoying. Or maybe he just couldn’t pay attention enough to realize he was being annoying. Either way, his presence didn’t bother him much.

Tate nodded silently, "It is tough, losing a friend... i too have lost one, multiple friends actually..." he trailed off absently, his thougths wandering back to his unfortunate past

“I believe we have all lost at least one person close to us. Wolves, we have an unfortunate way of living in misfortune. But we should not weep… it could be much worse.” -and it was unbecoming of someone like Kyrasael to do such a thing. Rarely ever did he display his emotions. Not even to himself when he is alone with not a living thing for miles. Perhaps today it had finally gotten to him, to have done such a thing and called upon his sadness in the open. Disgraceful.

Kyrasael closed his eyes. “If you are going to come in, then come in. If you linger out there, it will attract others.” And that was the last thing he needed, a crowed. Honestly, it could be an annoying bustle when other wolves came to see what was up. And he disliked the attention, the noise- and he needed his space. Ten wolves in one den was not what he considered space.

Tate tilted his head thoughtfully at Kyrasael, he hadnt known him to be one so forward with his opinions, well, at least most of them. he stepped into the den and laid besdie Kyrasael, but still with some space between them. he watched the grass outside flutter, and a leaf dance across it, his mouth closed for once as he relaxed a little

Kirsten widened her eyes and angled backward, her heels digging into the dirt as she tryed to stop. she turned on her side and ended up sliding right off the edge of the little platue, she turned at the last second to hold herself up with her front legs. she hung in stunned silence a moment before she peeked over her shoulder at the ground. it didnt look to far... she thought idly. she tried to stuggle back over the lip of the flat land and found it to hard after her long run and sure-to-be sore shoulders from her jump. she looked over her shoulder again, her tail dangling and fluttering in the wind. she squeezed her eyes shut, gritting her teeth, and let herself fall
She free fell for a second before she hit the loose sand hill and rolled down to wards the shale rocks net to the river. as she tumbled she kept her mouth closed tightly as well as her eyes. just waiting for it to end. she let out a surprised gasp as she ended with a viciouse flare of pain in her left leg. her eyes flew open to see that a sharp peice of shale had sliced down her leg. she blinked at it and then began testing herself to see if she had any more injuries. she growled softly as her scarleet blood began lacing through her fur and down her leg. she stood and forced herself to stay up, biting her lip to keep from crying out.
She slowly made her way back to camp, all thoughts of the chase gone
As she neered camp she sniffed hoping to catch Crays scent to ask him for help dressing her wound, but he was nowhere to be seen. she stopped at the entrance to her den and sat, examining her cut again. a small pool of blood formed under her paw and she let her ears droop. looks like i wont be running for a while... damn it.

Cray wrapped a strong ((im just going to say arm, but its really one of his front legs, arm just soudns so much betterXD)) arm around her shouolder and let her cry into his dark fur. he made gentle hushing sounds in the back of his throat and curled her into his chest gently. when she started to quiet down a little he squeezed her gently, "If it makes you feal any better... i was a slave once. Ive seen it all." he said with only a slight pause. "maybe you just have to wait a bit longer to find the ones that love you. you cant ever give up hope." he murmered, knowing his words fell somewhat flat in the reasuring side of things, "You can sleep in my den tonight if you like, Kirsten will probably come sleep in there as well, since she'll force Pheonix into hers. which is all the better, no one can feal sad with her around." he said, changing the subject somewhat quickly

Simbari sniffled lightly, gently smiling. "Thanks Cray. I hope you're right about everything... But, I'd rather not think about that now... Hey, I was meaning to ask.." Simba said, pausing to look at the dimming sky. "Would you like to come hunt with me? I've got a hunger the size of an elephant." she said, smiling sweetly.

Cray stepped back, releasing his hold on her gently, he stretched his front legs out in front of him like a cat and wagged his tail slightly, a silly little smile on his lips. "i would be honored m'lady. lead the way." he said galantly, his gray eyes sparkling

Simba smirked. "M'lady?" she repeated, arching a brow. "Alright then, Mr. Gentleman." she said playfully, padding along towards the smell of a distant elk herd. "Have you ever had a mate?" she asked randomly out of nowhere after about a minute of silence. She wasn't sure why she asked-- Probably just because she had had one before. "No reason, just curious. Like I said, I had one. Pups too... I had the perfect life, and in less than a hour, everything I knew and loved was torn away from me..." she said quietly, her ears folding back at the last part.

Cray didnt answer for a moment. "How about we nto think about the past? For now at least..." he said slowly, padding beside her. he gave her a playful nudge, "But no, ive never had someone ive cared about enough to ask to be my mate."
