the small town of salem resides in the middle of nowhere. and, as we all know, strange things happen in the middle of nowhere. for centuries, salem was inhabited only by the "norms" or normals, the people that had absolutely no magical powers. and yet, they had forgotten their ancestors. thus, four witches were born. the four were great friends, each of them completely different in personalities, and yet drawn to one another. the years passed, and one by one the kids reached their sixteenth birthdays. on this day, each child came into their powers, they found out that they could make things happen just by willing it. in the woods that surrounds the town of salem is a cabin. here, is where the group comes to learn more about themselves, and the powers that they are still learning how to control. but something else is coming for them, something dark, and dangerous. it's been a long time since a witch hunter has come to salem, but when rumors of strange occurrences began to circulate, the hunters had little choice. now, with the power of their animal guides, the witches of salem are struggling to mask their powers and identities in order to keep themselves hidden from the hunters. and alive.

general ;; all of the general roleplay rules are to be taken into consideration when posting and whatnot. i expect good grammar, a minimum of 6 lines when posting, which should be a paragraph or so. feel free to post more, and if you have writers block it's understandable but under no means should there be less than 4 lines when posting IC.

characters ;; there are limited spots, therefor i will not be allowing any user to play both a familiar and a witch. however, you can play a witch or familiar, and a hunter if you'd like. i ask that you stick to the general outline for the characters, and don't change the face-claims i've provided. regarding familiar FC's: ya'll get to choose your own for these, so PM me who you want. i will allow reservations, but only for 3 days. make sure to PM all reservations & character forms to me

witches >> they do have powers, and can cast spells. each witch has their own, predetermined pairing with a familiar. the bond between a witch and his/her familiar is sacred. the familiar will do anything to protect their witch, and the two share a telepathic link. this link allows them to commune and talk to one another via their minds, despite whether the familiar be in human or animal form. it is against a witches code to have any romantic relationship with their familiar, but not completely unheard of.

familiars >> as stated above, familiars are a witches companion. they guide the witch through life, and protect the witch from harm. generally, the familiars pass themselves off as the witches "pet" and can normally be found in their animal forms when going through the "norm" world. a familiar's animal form coincides with the familiars basic personality, so no, a timid, shy familiar would not have the animal form of, say, a grizzly bear. for familiars, you may have images to represent both their human, and animal form. it is against every moral value in the familiar community for a familiar to have a romantic relationship with their witch, but not completely unheard of.

hunters >> the witch hunters haven't been heard from for a long time, but they are still there. currently, there are four witch hunters in salem. the hunters are trained assassins, and generally they come from a line bred specifically for cruelty, and aggressiveness. the "king" is the leader of this specific group of hunters, and he travels with the "assassin", "prodigy" and "sympathizer." it is strictly forbidden, and punishable by death, for a hunter to have any romantic relation with a witch or familiar.

forms ;; please make your own forms. they can be however long, or short you'd like. i simply ask that you keep face-claims, generally personality, age, and gender the same. feel free to code your form, make it pretty or whatever you'd like. you can definitely expand on personalities, and add things in there, the mini-bios i provided are simply a basis to work off of. once again, i ask that you PM all reservations and forms to me.

reserves ;; yes, you may reserve a character. however, if your bio is not up within three days, and you haven't told me in advance that you need more time, the reserve will be opened up for someone else. all reserves should be sent by PM. if you are reserving a familiar, please include your face-claim in the reserve.

Kacidia was named after her grandmother’s step daughter who went missing when she was about thirteen. Kacidia is pronounced (Kay-se Eye’d Dye Aye) but she prefers to be calley Kacey. Kacey’s middle name was given to her by her older sister. Graz is her fathers Spanish last name.
