I have this thread bookmarked, so yes I still follow it.Nothing much has been happening though.
I'm getting close to finishing my story that I've been working on for about 4 years. I'll probably get close to or just over 600 pages. It's extremely exciting. XD

I just can't come up with a good plot, and I don't really know how to create good characters. Sure I can create 'em, but I don't think I'd be able to develop them. Harry Potter, I think by far, has the best characters in any series! Anyway, what's your book about? Do we get a sneak peak?

Well the characters themselves are almost different facets of my own personality. Then I took those different aspects and developed it more which turned into the characters. The easiest way to develop them I think is to get them into your mind and as you go through your everyday life, think about how they would respond to those situations. Harry Potter does have awesome characters. I also like those in Rick Riordan's books and the main characters in the Divergent series.
It's about a girl, Mika, who moves to Tokyo after the death of her grandmother. It's only after she gets there and meets Kaito, one of her classmates, that she realizes there are many things she doesn't know about the world. Demons live amongst humans, and she inadvertently finds herself with one of the strongest of them all.
I based this around an anime plot idea, and the novel is written almost like a manga. Though one doesn't need to know anything about anime or manga to read it. If you, or anyone else is interested, you can get to my story by clicking on the picture in my signature.

I find I do that too. I'll have my characters make decisions and choices as I would. So sometimes I'll have to have them do something in a way I wouldn't. Your story sounds like it's got a plot that was hard to develop. I don't do well with writing about people. ...Then again, I don't think I've really tried. I'm wanting to read the Percy Jackson series as soon as I'm done Harry Potter.
