Spear giggled as the baby spearow pulled at some of her feathers.

The patient flinched, eyes flicking in the direction of the birds, but he answered Kaiba. The other grunt turned to watch the baby Pokémon while he spoke, musing about the fact that Spear could be blissfully enjoying her motherhood at the same time as a grunt was going through heatbreak. It almost seemed cruel- though of course, it wasn't the Spearow (?)'s fault. Why shouldn't she enjoy her happiness?
"Yes... Women. No wonder I've never got a handle on them..." The patient didn't seem to enjoy his own feeble joke, but it was a good sign- at least he was trying. "I don't know her... maybe seen her around? She's part of the Team after all."
He shuddered. "But now I wish she wasn't... It's not just To-" He choked up on the name of his precious Pokémon, but forced himself to continue. "Not just Totaro. There's been more... More than have come in here, I think. It's horrible out there... I mean, Cosmo was horrible, but this chaos? All this in-fighting? It's no better..."

Night frowned as Spring dozed off with her head on his back.

[Whistle.Concert]

Kaiba nodded. "Just the other day, Richard's daughter was in here..." He mused. "Someone's Absol had cut her poor Horsea in too. The poor thing stood no chance whatsoever."
The Lucario gave a deep sigh. "Hopefully this will end soon."

The grunts both winced. They both knew Alicia; she was a sweet girl, and instantly recognisable since she was Richard's daughter. "Poor kid!"
The grunt wondered who she'd accidentally gotten in the way of. All of this fighting was surely because members were trying to claim Cosmo's position. And he didn't think the girl would try for it herself...
Then again, with all the chaos, maybe she thought she had a shot?

There were some grunts in this base that he had a shot against, too. And others that he didn't. No, he thought he'd continue to avoid the chaos by sticking to the infirmary or his rooms in all of his free time. Fortunately, the battles hadn't yet interfered with his work. Yet.

[Whistle.Concert]

Kaiba's eyes glowed blue for a few moments as he sensed what the men were thinking. "From what the master managed to get out of her...She had been getting something to eat from the kitchens, and the other grunt..Formerly an admin, thought they'd show off by mutilating her Horsea.."

Tiny meanwhilehad been going to fast and ended up crashing into the leaders door, geting nocked on his side agian"for the love of, come on!"the whirlpede grunted trying to get back up"the sooner i evolve the better!"he mutted.

"... Poor girl," the Aqua grunt whispered. He'd been wrong; it hadn't even been an accident- just plain mutilation! "The Magmas call us violent and brutal," he murmured. "You know what? Right now, I think we're proving them right..."
Oh, that poor, poor girl...

[Whistle.Concert]

Kaiba nodded. "We were supposed to be like a family. But the moment 'power' becomes involved, we turn into a pack of animals..."
He shook his head. "Hopefully this place will remain a safe haven..."
