I sent her down on the kitchen counter and opened the fridge. "Hungry?" I ask, already making her a sandwich.

[Jenny,]

Jennifer looked down at the floor. "A little." She said softly. She then looked at him "I'll make it if you want.." she said.

"I'm already done." I said, smiling. I gave it to her and made myself one.

[Jenny,]

Jennifer took the sandwich and pecked his cheek. "Thank you." She said before taking a bite of the sandwich.

"No problem." I said, smiling at Jen. I ate my sandwich and grabbed a bottle of water. "Want one?"

[Jenny,]

Jennifer shook her head softly. "No thank you." She said not wanting to be a bother. She finished off the sandwich and smiled.

"What now?" I ask, standing in front of her.

[Jenny,]

Jennifer let out a sigh. "I don't know." She said skiding off the bench and landing on her good foot. She hopped towards the porch wincing every time she hopped. She tried her best to hide her pain but it was a bit too painful for her.

I stifled a laugh and picked her up and carried her to the porch.

Jennifer sighed. "I'm sorry you have to do that." She said grabbing the rails.
