"Greetings, mellon nîn."Let's start with the basicsName : : "My full name is Legolas Greenleaf Thranduilion, but you may call me Legolas if that suits you."Gender : : "I hope that it is quite obvious enough that I am a male."Age : : "I have walked this Middle-earth for nearly nine yén, but in mortal years you may say I am about 1250." Despite him being over one thousand years of age, Legolas is actually quite young for an elf.Race : : "I am very much an elf."Digging deeperAppearance : : "I do hope my attire is to your liking."
Legolas is tall and fair of face, even for an elf, and despite the lithe size befitting his people, he is exceptionally strong, able to draw back a great war-bow and shoot down his enemy with one shot. He inherits his golden hair and his steely gray-blue eyes from his father and is nearly the spitting image of his father the Elvenking, or so people claim.
Like the other elven residents of Eryn Galen, he is dressed mostly in simple hunter's clothes, save for the few times when formality is required. For this journey, he is clad in a light blue long-sleeved undershirt, a brown tunic overtop, dark brown leggings and shoes along with his gray-brown cloak. He is also armed with his Mirkwood bow and his quiver of arrows, as well as his long white knife.---
Personality : : "I do my best to be kind, then, I suppose. If you respect me, I shall respect you."
Legolas is a kind, relatively cheerful elf, remaining even-tempered most of the time. But his moods may change as often as the days; sometimes he is merry, sociable, jesting with the rest of the Fellowship and enjoying the amusement - but at other times he may withdraw and turn quiet, introverted and thoughtful.
It is a little known fact that this elf is surprisingly very claustrophobic; he prefers wide open forest ranges than small, tiny enclosed spaces. As an elf, he also embraces the light of the stars and absolutely loathes darkness; these fears make it understandable that caves unnerve him to no end.History : : "I was raised up as a normal wood-elf, and was one of the rare children of the Eldar. As soon as I entered my juvenile years, I was trained as a novice warrior, as my position as prince guaranteed me a high rank in the Eryn Galen forces. For a few centuries I trained, and was finally made full warrior. I now lead the archers of the Woodland Realm."
Nothing particularly interesting has happened in Legolas's long life, but that seemed destined to change after he joined the Fellowship.Smaller detailsFamily : : "Thranduil, King of Greenwood, is my father. Alas, my mother succumbed to the sea-longing and sailed long ago. I have no siblings, either." Crush/wife? : : "Nay, I am not interested in taking a wife."Children? : : "Without a wife, I cannot have children."Other? : : None.
