I know new accounts can't adopt dec 18 pets, but how new is new? I joined in aug/september 2013, can I do this?

You can, definitely! This is more referring to accounts created December 17/18, to prevent multi-accounting.

I believe the cut off is actually a few weeks, but accounts created this summer will definitely be able to adopt.

Agree, although I heard it was 1 week only...

Nope, I think that is the only exclusion, it's would be unfair to people that paid money

hi, i'm besketball's brother, and she let me on real quick to say hello and good luck to everyone. both to not getting ninja-traded and to getting some good pets. :] hopefully everyone will get something good, and if not, some new trading fodder. my sister will help me not get ninja'd. XD
