I have seen some people posting that newer CS Accounts cant participate in the 18th Advent due to Cheating. How "New" do you have to be to Not be able to participate? I joined Nov 24th, would I be able to adopt my set of pets?

I think so! I think it goes back a week or so, but not that far back!

This is my first year on Cs, I've only been here a couple months.
I know the basics of December 18th advent pets, but can someone go more into detail?

Okay well, You will get maybe 2-3 pets that can be from any year, they are usually rare/uncommon/very rare/ or possibly omgsr. Don't guarantee you will get a rare pet- because CS only does the rereleases to make sure pets don't go insanely rare, and extinct you could say. I don't know, I am terrible at explaining, but I do know about ninja trading as well.

Ninja trading is when a member trades for (usually on the 18th because it is easy to trick new players into trading their very rare pets) a pet ( again, usually valuable ) for a pet lower than the valuable pet's worth. It is very easy to get ninja traded, so that is why it is good to check what your pet is with a member who does identifications or check on this thread or something ( I believe there is an identification thread, but I don't know for sure ) to see if your pet is valuable... I don't know if I missed anything or not; anybody want to add to this?

Do you get 2 or 3 , and how is it decided? (Like, do some people get 2 and others 3..?)

No, it isn't very likely either. But most likely , you will get a decent, valuable pet.
Since CS just wants to make rarer pets more common to the "people"

No, there is a very slight chance anyone will get a list pet. It's luck of the draw. You might strike it rich, you might get a common from 2013. You never know. ♥

Actually , you won't likely get a 2013 pet at all, the earliest I think is 2012 rares.

& Everybody will get 3 I think, but in 2011 I believe everybody only got 2 pets.

Hey, maybe there should be a warning about the PPS cocoon? I've seen a lot of people get scammed with that.

Person 1 tells Person 2 that 1 has the cocoon. Person 2 flips their wig and trades for what they think is a VR 2009 Advent List pet. The caterpillar later grows up into something that is obviously not a PPS cocoon.

Maybe there should be a warning that says NOT to trade for any supposed PPS cocoons until there is not a shadow of a doubt that it is indeed the PPS? Which means waiting exactly 10 days after adoption to see the little "Fully-grown" tag on it.

I know I am a "newbie" but I think on the front page of this discussion it stated that the butterfly wolves will be stamped with a UR on it....please edit this if I am wrong, but that was my understanding of the post. Cat~

The PPS cocoon is different than the UR. The UR is, well an un-released pet, and it is fully-grown. The PPS cocoon just never grew up. c:

Ninja trades are not against the rules. They are very different from a scam, the front page outlines the difference.

If someone tries to scam you, please report them.
