Tvetyals are a unique species of dragon-like mammals, the closest modern animal approximation being a big canine with the behavior of a puffin. They come in a large variety of sizes, with the smallest about the size of a medium dog and the largest closer to the size of horses. Tvetyals are pack animals, and typically live in family units called bevies, which range in population from 7 to up to 40. Tvetyals can sport many different traits, but the most prominent is the heterochromic eyes that all Tvets possess. Some traits are more rare than others, and on ocassion, it is said that a Tvetyal may even be born with wings. Notably, Tvetyals are separated into two primary groups: Wild and Domestic. As the names may suggest, Wild Tvets are generally not receptive to humans and cannot be ridden. With enough work, a Wild Tvetyal can become Domestic, at which point they can be lifelong companions.

Keeping to himself much of the time it is rare for him to make his presence known, though when he does he is quick to make his presence a dominating one. Armed with flashy coloration and a charming, subtly witty nature, this male has few problems making friends, but rather, trouble keeping them or forming more life long bonds.

He's loud, unafraid to speak and known to come out mainly when there are gatherings or more important events. If talking to a smaller set of individuals to simply keep quiet and listen, as he's usually more interested in attaining knowledge than sharing unless it would be of use to him to do so.

Fully aware of how charming he is he often lets his comments be bold ones. He's rude, sly, selfish, and dispositioned to be a dangerous Tvetyal to know since so little is known about him.

In summary, many view him as someone of vague character. He'll say a comment or two now and then to a pretty female, perhaps tease or round up one of the more boisterous males only to calm then down again with a soothing purr in his voice, and then slip off to his home once he's lost amusement in others.
