Ring went in after him.

An odd inviting warmth filled the house. A kind-looking plump woman was standing in the kitchen, who turned to look at the front door. Instead of looking surprised or scared, like someone probably would be, she smiled. The only thing off-putting about the woman were her pitch black eyes, though they went hardly noticed behind her round glasses.

"Why, hello there! You all must be very cold, dearies." The woman said, her voice sounding old and sympathetic. "You're heading somewhere, aren't you?"

[warlord.]

"Ah, actually, we're looking for someone."

[Balsam]

"All in the same, for if you are looking for someone, you are going somewhere to find them." The woman smiled sweetly. "I'd suppose this was not what you expected. Please. Would you like to warm up a bit before you head off in search of this someone? It's quite cold out there."

[warlord.]

"Um, I'm quite alright."

[Balsam]

Ring elbowed him in the side. "We intruded upon her house, Len. Accept her hospitality." She looked at the woman. "Could I maybe have a drink?"

"Of course, darling."

[warlord.]

Len shrugged.

[Balsam]

Ring smiled as the woman entered the kitchen. "Len-san, would you at least humor me and drink something?"
