Echospirit hissed silently. "Could we slow down a little bit? I twisted my paw on something. Ahh!" Echospirit fell over. She hissed again as she got up. Her tail dropped to the ground. She had felt a chill when she fell. "I think I'll meet you back at camp."

Firebird opened her eyes in the medicine cat's den. "Hello?" Uglyeyes popped into the den. "Where have you been?!?" Firebird's tail twitched. "I went out back to collect poppy seeds. I don't remember anything else."

He sighed and limped after the patrol. He really wanted to find the other clans to make sure everyone was alright. Hoping that the other clans did not mind them being in their territory for such an important mission, the patrol stepped over the border and he felt himself move closer to the rest of the cats on patrol. I hope they don't think this is a battle patrol He hoped silently in his mind.

"I'll see you when you come back to camp." Echospirit mewed. She limped back to camp. Half way there, the was bowled over. Echospirit yowled until the attacker shut her mouth. "Shhh! It's me, sis!" Echospirit's eyes widened. It was her sister.

You walk after the missing medicine cat's scent trail. But then you question why you look for her. You think about it.
Who was she?
Well, other than being a loyal cat to your clan, she was medicine cat. Icefrost was the she-cat's name. Her whole family was oddly named. Her apprentice is fully trained, so why does the clan need her any more?
You start think to hard and shake you head. You decide to continue on the trail while thinking who she was.
Her history, how much you know...
Icefrost had a sister and a brother. When the earth began splitting through your camp it split the clan in thirds. One went to the west, Icefrost included, one went to the east, her sister then known as Echopaw included, and the last third fell down in to the earth's mouth to Starclan, including her brother, Hurricanepaw, and her mother and father. She was already training as a warrior, her sister as a medicine cat. But rumor was Echopaw became a warrior in the east clan, which eventually scattered. Icefrost never liked her position, but stuck with it. Maybe she left to look for her sister...
You figure she wouldn't try. The earth's mouth was still open, waiting for clumsy cats to fall in. And the east clan had been scattered for a long time now. You follow the rest of the trail. You stop quickly. The trail leads to the steep, never ending, drop off. A small island of land sticks out like a tongue from the middle, but much to far away to jump. You return to the clan to tell news she must be dead, and Gingerleaf, Icefrost's apprentice, will take over as medicine cat.

Stonepaw re-organized her den before fluffing up her fur and collapsing into her nest. Her eyes closed fast, and she slept.

-Wow. I'm so embarrassed right now. Went back to reread and had absolutely no idea Gabe had Aspenstar call for Talonstride for the patrol. Oops ._. I apologize for that slip up.-

After spending the majority of the day's sunlight deep in the recesses of his clan's borders hunting, Talonstride silently pads back into camp, jaws laden with fresh kill. It had been a long, exhausting trek, but it was well worth his effort. A blackbird, two mice, and a vole was the sum of his work, and he gratefully deposited his catch onto the fresh kill pile, stretching and working the soreness out of it. Once most of the uncomfortable strain had eased, he picked up the vole again and headed toward the elder's den. There in a large heap of ruffled, unruly fur lay Roundbelly enjoying a nice washing. Upon hearing the younger cat enter, the old elder raises his head from a patch of belly fur he could actually reach and regards the warrior.
"So you finally came back, eh? Must have been hunting your tail off be'in gone all that time."
Talonstride merely lays the rodent at the russet elder's paws and turns.
"We needed fresh kill." was all the warrior replied before exiting the den.
Roundbelly lets out a scoff at the tom's bluntness, twitching the tip of his tail before bending to enjoy his meal. Thankfully his denmate Cricketleap was asleep so he could eat in peace without having to guard his prey from the sly elder. 'Starclan knows how many times that mousebrain has taken my vole and flung it up over the camp walls yowling at how voles can fly.'

Stonepaw woke an hour or so later, smoothing the fur behind her ears. She pulled herself out of bed, stretched, and padded out of her den. She glanced at the small fresh-kill pile, then went straight to the elders den. "How are you all feeling?"
