Cowan, barked, a laugh. " I am a very experienced loser my dear." He shook his head and let his ears droop, the action was subtile;but, it was obvious the fact didn't please the stag. " As for the battle that marked me..yes, very ruthless. Big proud, royal herd stag.He had many hinds ." Cowan perked his ears again, listing carefully to the sounds around them as he spoke. " It happened around this time last year. I thought I would have a bit of fun and try to pester a few of his hinds . He wasn't amused. I didn't even have time to run.. One second I was chasing a hind, the next I'm locked up with a stag triple my size. He caught me with a brow tine.. I'm lucky I didn't lose my eye. " He gave her a humorless grin. " He was so angry that even when I refused to fight back, he chased me down and rolled me over, and over. I finally managed to get away, decided after that it was best to move on..Yet here I am, doing the same thing this year. Guess I didn't learn." He chuckled.

Aphra listen intently to the story, "There is a difference from repeating the past, and being determined," she said. "Perhaps you weren't foolish this year, but determined," she said. "Who's the lucky hind?" she said cocking her head.
Ahiga moved closer to her. He felt very foolish, but Iso did let his hinds wander. They just came back to him every once in a while for protection or just to check in. The thought made him feel a bit better, but not much.

"Well.." Cowan drifted off. " I had not had anyone in mind;but, one did catch my interest..then another." He chuckled. I think you may know the second hind very well." He wasn't going to sit there and tell her he was heart broken over a single hind when in no time at all he woukdent have remembered her name anyway. He tried to comfort himself with that thought, as primal as it was..he was a stag after all;but, he had a feeling he could never forget the beautiful unique hind speaking with him.

Qwen laid his ears back at Aketcheta and tilted his head. She was a pretty deer. She would make a good member of his rut. He lowered his respectfully like the gentlemen he was supposed to be. "I'm Qwen," He said, but he couldn't keep his eyes off the smaller doe. Qwen bowed to her aswell. "You are?" He asked as kindly as he could, seeing she was a bit nervous. It must be her first mating season?

I'm Fedora. The little hind replied, perking her ears. He didn't seem so scary after all like Ahiga. But he was a buck....Fedora shook her head, ridding that thought out of her mind. The hind scurried over to Akecheta, leaning on her a bit and looking up at her with her big pearl black eyes. Fedora looked back at Qwen and her body started to tremble a bit again. Akecheta is from...Is from Ahiga's herd....I-I-I'm...I'm alone... She admitted in a shaky tone, lowering her head to nervously graze on some clovers, though she was not hungry.

Ahiga shook his head. He liked the idea of remaining loyal to a single hind.
Aphra smiled and blushed. She liked Cowan all right, but he didn't seem very loyal. She though of him as a bit of a player, always switching interest. She suspected he would forget about her in a few days. "So you are a player then?" she questioned, and regretted saying it right after it left her mouth.
