"So why," Ethan suddenly began, stopping them from leaving, feeling his anger rise in his chest, "did you even come here?" he asked. "It would've been a lot better for the both of us if you just said it over the phone or something and didn't have the nerve to bring your new guy along." he said, his voice low but tone angry, although it was a sad-fueled rage at the same time.

Jayden was half way out the door until Ethan's words stopped him. He wrenched himself back in the room, pursing his lips. He was fine, perfectly fine, until Mars uttered the phrase "new guy". "Excuse me?" He asked, popping his eyebrows. "What did you just say? We came here to help you." Jayden said, walking closer. "No matter what was said, we came here for you." Norman, then, shot a look over at Grace and Shaun, signaling them to leave.

I stopped, hearing his words. "What the hell are you talking about? would you rather me just ignore it? No. I think we both just need to be mature about this, don't you? And I brought Norman along because he cares about me and I care about him, if you have some kind of problem with this than keep it to yourself, you weren't there for me....what did you expect me to do? huh? wait for some miracle that might have never happened?" I felt tears behind my eyes. I wouldn't let them out, not now. I was glad Norman was here, atleast he cared.

Grace frowned deeply and quickly ushered Shaun out of the room, telling him they would go get something to eat and then come back for Ethan.

Ethan was about to reply to Norman when Madison's last few words made him rise up off of his bed and stand. "That's a lie!" he said, his voice risen. "Do you think I could help..all this?! I would have been there for you. I didn't choose to be in a coma. And before that, you knew that I already had problems to work out. I couldn't help it," he argued desperately, his voice volume dangerously high.

Norman placed his hands on Madison's shoulders. This took a lot out of her, he could tell. Should he say something? At this point, Norman wasn't sure what to do or say. He tried to comfort her, and he would bring his mind into the argument when called for, but until then, he decided to lay low.

I gave him a nasty look, "Yeah, well you weren't there.....it doesn't matter why...you just weren't. Now why don't you answer my question, what did you expect me to do? Wait? If you really cared about me you wouldn't care if I found someone else..." I wouldn't let him do this to me, not now. Not here. Madison didn't even notice Normans hands on her shoulders, she was too preocupied with Ethan's words.

Ethan looked hurt. "That's what I would have done, and what you would have done if you cared about me." he said, stepping back and taking a seat again. "Maybe it's best if you just leave. I'm sorry this had to happen," he choked out. It all just felt too familiar. This wasn't the first time someone left him for things he couldn't help. Maybe it was best that he just stopped looking.

Norman looked down at Madison and slowly nodded. He rubbing her shoulders, turned her around, and proceeded to walk out the door. "Come on, Butterfly." he whispered, "Let's go find Blake...he'll make us feel better." H replied sarcastically, but once out in the hall way, Norman stopped and let Maddy do whatever is was she needed to do to let her feelings out. Cry on his shoulder, scream, yell, anything that needed to be done. "Sh, sh, it's ok, it's ok." He said softly. "Let it out, let it out."

Grace led Shaun back to her car, starting it up after they were both in and buckled. "Ready to go back and get your daddy?" she asked him.

"Yeah," Shaun looked up at his mom through the windshield, his smile fading. "Mom, why was Dad so upset?" Shaun asked. This was hard for a ten year old to deal with, especially with all the things he had to go through already. First, the Origami Killer, then Ethan's coma, now this, whatever 'this' was. It was hard enough for a ten year old to go through a divorce.
