Absence began to shiver.

Volcarona jumped and quickly flew upstairs.

[Balsam]

"Absence...."

Pastel landed. She swept the eggs carefully out and almost cradled them in her tail.

[warlord.]

"These thingies are scary..."

Volcarona returned and sat by Absence.

[Balsam]

"They sometimes scare me, too..... ... But Pastel is a mommy, like me. She was being scary to protect her babies. I'd do that for you."

Pastel looked apologetically over at Volcarona.

[warlord.]

Absence looked up at her and smiled.

Volcarona chirped, accepting the apology.

[Balsam]

"Come on, I think.... That those three little eggs over there are about to hatch...." Rin said. "I don't know if you wanna be here for that."

Pastel made something akin to a purring noise. She was watching the three eggs. One of them was moving.

[warlord.]

"Why not?"

Volcarona settled down in a laying position.

[Balsam]

"Do you want to see the little tykes?"

The egg broke in one place. A baby Trapinch poked its head out. Pastel made a happy noise.

[warlord.]

"Yeah!"

Volcarona closed her eyes.

[Balsam]

"Heh~"

Soon, three baby Trapinch sat surrounded by Pastel's tail. The dragon's eyes glittered in pride.

"Come on, then~ Let's go!" Rin stood up, picking up Absence. She went over to Pastel. "They're so small....."
