Seen it today, fell in love with the pairing of Tauriel and Kili. I was apprehensive about Tauriel's existence at first but I soon fell in love with the ship.

I guess I don't know how I feel about Tauriel. I don't really want to make more judgments until I see the movie.

I don't mind if they add characters that aren't in the book, but I don't like them adding them for the sake of romance that wasn't in the book. But, I'm sure Tauriel had more of a role than just liking Kili, so that's why I'm waiting to see the movie to really judge her role.

I'll be honest. I like the idea of pairings between different ME races, especially a tall race and a short race.

I have a crush on Bilbo, so it would be sort of similar to Kili and Tauriel.

She saves Kili's life in the film. I died, I think you may like the pairing, but just because it's really sweet~~ Also, you agree with me on the liking of different ME race ships so you probably will.
I like her a lot, she's a really headstrong character, and she's really awesome.
I'm not quite sure how to explain her role but you should watch the film and see, when will you watch it do you think?

I found out after watching an interview with Evangeline Lilly that Legolas is actually supposed to have romantic feelings towards Tauriel, which makes me rather apprehensive. :'/ In my opinion, Legolas belongs with no woman... But everyone here says that Tauriel is awesome, so I trust you guys. XD

I'm going to watch the Desolation of Smaug tomorrow.

I'm so excited, that my family (except my loyal little sister) thinks me a crazy lunatic who has gone holiday-crazy.

Yeah, I might like it. I just feel bad for anyone who has a crush on Kili, and reading the book and thinking "Oh, it never says he likes anyone specifically." and then this happens.

It happened to me once with another movie (not LOTR or Hobbit), where I started having a crush on a character, and I couldn't finish the movie right away, and he ended up marrying another character and having kids with her. It actually made me sad. It seemed so random and she didn't seem like his type (not that I have the right to judge that, only he does). So, I also feel bad for anyone who likes Legolas, since it seems like he will fall in love with Tauriel, but she likes Kili instead.

I'm happy as long as Bilbo doesn't like anyone, and it doesn't sound like he will.

So, if anyone here feels bad about the non-canon romances in the movie because you have a crush on one of the characters, I'm sorry and I feel your pain. I've been through it before, and it's a really icky feeling.

I'm glad there's someone else who likes mixed ME race pairings. I think I read in one of the books that hobbits are even more closely related to us than dwarves or elves, so if Aragorn and Arwen can like each other, I can like Bilbo. Haha!

I'm hoping to see it tomorrow (Saturday).
