It was a typical day at home. Esperanza's father was going crazy over something that one of the workers didn't do right. She rolled her eyes and started to wonder where Matt was. She went outside and wove through the fields. Then she finally found him." Hey Matt." She yelled.

Isabel was hanging up in her room, staring out the window at the fields below with a smile. Part of her wished she could just waltz on down there, but her father would never allow it.

Cole was working the fields. [What kind of fields are they working?]

{this is in the 1930's, and they are in California. They are like.. I don't know. Just planting stuff, going to town to buy things, etc. Whatever they want I guess, but it's in the 1930's so they obviously aren't working at Wal-Mart.}
Marisol skipped outside, sneaking past her father. She could hear Sixto Ortega {Esperanza's father} yelling about something all the way from her balcony. She sprinted down to the fields. "Jake?" He yelled, but also hoping her father wouldn't hear or see her.

Isabel decided bravery was best, she snuck down towards the fields, trying to be careful to not get caught. She hid behind trees and anything she could. "Greyson?" She called out softly.

Cole was working on getting the corn planted.

{ Matthew ;; Who wouldn't hate working? Because I did, and seriously, does a fifteen-year-old has to be forced to work? I don't think it's really fair, you know. Anyway, I had to force myself outside and continue though after some minutes I finally stopped. I heard my name being called from somewhere and I finally caught a glimpse of Esperanza. He smiled a bit as he walked over her, trying to stop his furious sweating. "Hey." he said as he gasped walking up to her.

{ Jacob ;; I was thinking about how long would it take to get all this work finished. It was a hard work and just one voice made me smile when I heard her calling my name. It was Marisol. He turned and waved. "Hey!" he exclaimed as he ran over to her but she was already turning around and in a second she was gone. He dropped his hands at both his sides and with an angry snort he returned to work.
