The teacher wrote an assignment on the board so Charlotte immediately got to work on it so that she would have less homework. As she worked she hummed the periodic table song. Her last science teacher offered extra credit to whoever could memorize the song, so she taught it to herself and sang it to him after class instead of doing it in front of the entire class. Now it plays through her head whenever something reminds her of it.

[I have Drew open. He is in math class, not paying attention.]

Ashlynn smiled and rolled her eyes playfully. She grabbed her some more cheese fries and ate one. "Oh I see. So what class do you have next?" She pulled out some money to buy her cheese fries and looked around. Today was going good so far. She didnt eat this morning but and she showed up to school late but she was going to be patient until after school for her new dance class. She would be the new girl but she doesn't dance like it

Eric glared over at Charlotte. "Don't tell me you already know this lesson!" He grumbled to her.

Ashlynn smiled and rolled her eyes playfully. She grabbed her some more cheese fries and ate one. "Oh I see. So what class do you have next?" She pulled out some money to buy her cheese fries and looked around. Today was going good so far. She didnt eat this morning but and she showed up to school late but she was going to be patient until after school for her new dance class. She would be the new girl but she doesn't dance like it

Eric raised an eyebrow and turned his head to another girl. (Ava) He whispered, "Hey, you cant ignore this face" he said, not trying to be to flirty but just enough to get a smile out of the girl who clearly wanted nothing to do with him.

Caleb finished buying his lunch then headed to an empty table. Then he turned to Ashlynn and replied, "Uh...I think I have English next, what about you?" He asked and looked at what he had chosen for food. Caleb knew that cafeteria food was bad, but he wrinkled his nose in disgust as he stared down at his meal. This didn't even look like it belonged in the food category. He sighed and pushed his plate away from him as he reached over to steal a couple of cheese fries from Ashlynn. "There's no possible way I'm eating that." He exclaimed and pointed to the gross cafeteria food. "So could we share these?" He asked Ashlynn with a smile, referring to the cheese fries.

"Obviously I can ignore that face cause I haven't said hi to you yet." Ava said matter-of-factly, and rolled her eyes at the guy (Eric) who continued to talk to the other girl (Charlotte). Then she realized that this kind of attitude wouldn't get her anywhere, and leaned over towards them adding, "Hi, I'm Ava." She introduced herself and smiled a little bit, trying to be as friendly as she could towards the guy and girl.

Ashlynn sighed and looked at her schedule "Same" she said and shrugged. She reached over and poked his food with a fork and wrinkled her nose "I swear it moved!" She said and laughed. She shrugged at his question "Sure" she said and out the fries in the middle of the table "So tell me about yourself Mr. Caleb" she said as she ate a fry. Ashlynn didnt have the best manors but atleast she was funny and a fun person to hang out with she wondered if this town had a skatepark. She would have to find out later. She ate another fry with the most cheese on it

I shrugged at the girl. "You look like you hate school." She smiled slightly. "Wanna skip and go get some fro-yo?"

Dakota ''Um, sure'' she said ''Just let me grab my skateboard and we can go'' she stood up and shoved her phone and headphones her hear pocket.

The day felt long, and dreary and it was only
second period, Eric looked at his digital watch,
still twenty more minutes left of his class. All
the students in the room stared blankly at the
board as the teacher lectured about the
upcoming year. Eric looked around the room
scanning the new faces. There were some pretty
girls and some guys he could care less for. When
the bell finally rang he got up and took his things
and accidentally bumped int someone (anyone can
be this person), "Oh sorry, I uh, didn't see you there.
I'm Eric" He stuck out his muscular quavering hand to

shake.

"Its really only usi g the periodic table. Its easy," Charlotte told Eric seeing how he didn't seem pleased. "I can help you if you want," She offered. When she heard a politr introduction from the girl Eric had spoken to, charlie looked up. "Hi. I'm Charlotte, " She told the girl. She knew if she tried to say anymore that she would start babbling so she ended there.
