Eleos

Eleos jerked away, wings curling as he shot backwards to avoid the demon's blow. Her comment confused him. She'd called him an overgrown bird, yet she had wings too.
"Actually, angels don't become human," he said quietly. "Without wings, we just become fallen." He would know, he'd just narrowly escaped losing his own when he'd been cast out of Heaven. The Archangels had come extremely close to ripping his out.
Again, he began to try to think of ways to get out of this. He still wasn't exactly sure how many of his powers were still intact after being thrown from Heaven; he'd never wanted or needed to use them. He still didn't want to use them now, actually.
Sighing, he looked up at Flame. "Please don't do this."

[Joey.]

"Pleading makes me hunger more for the violence, Angel," She said with a cackle, "And pity, a Demon becomes human, the worst torture imaginable in my opinion," She huffed, then lunged for him again, just testing his reflexes..For now. ((WB))

Eleos

Again, Eleos pushed himself backwards through the air, dodging her hit. His gaze was troubled; he knew she would attack eventually and wasn't sure how he would hold up. Being such a pacifist all his life, he'd never been truly prepared for a fight, especially with a demon.
"I'm not necessarily pleading," he continued. "I just want to avoid conflict. This is pointless, truly. It will only cause more harm to befall this world."

[Joey.]

"All the more to continue, then!" Flame exclaimed gleefully, a dark glint in her eyes, "Stop dodging me, Angel, I was taking it easy," She said before launching a bolt of flames at her side and let it snake around, surrounding them in a large funnel of fire.

Eleos

Eyes wide, Eleos glanced around frantically, wincing when he felt the tips of his feathers start to singe slightly.
"I will not fight you," he sighed. "It is not what I do. I am not made to fight, nor do I wish to be. I'm sure you've noticed that most Angels to prefer peace, and I am one of them."

[Joey.]

"Then why aren't you up there?" She asked with a sneer, feigning innocence as she pointed with one dangerously curved claw up towards the Heavens(Heh.)
"You obviously did something quite bad if you had to become fallen."
And with those last words, she lunged for him, slamming into him and straight into the fire, her own body being caught on it, yet the flames did not burn her body, nor melt her wings.

She stepped out and took his hand, walking with him. She yawned, blinking a little.

"You look tired." Shade said with a smile at Kylane.

Eleos

Gritting his teeth, Eleos fought and- surprisingly- succeeded to bite back a cry of pain as he felt his feathers burn. Pushing his way out of the fire as quickly as he could, he blinked rapidly, trying to dispel the involuntary tears that had welled from the sheer pain that the burns caused.
"I was wrongfully accused of murder," he explained, determined to keep his voice steady. "And without any way of proving my innocence, I was cast from Heaven. Though I am not truly fallen yet; I still have my wings."

[Joey.]

Flame grinned, "Yet is the key word, Angel," She reminded him and then yanked him through the air and into her arms, a sinister embrace that could be a warm one if she had wanted it to be, though now it was an inferno, a circle of heat and scorching air.

Eleos

Eleos bit his lip against the pain, until a small stream of blood ran down his chin, leaving a trail of the crimson liquid. With a sudden burst of ow-this-hurts-I-want-out-NOW he shoved Flame off of him, freeing himself from her hold. He felt burns already rising on his skin and his breath hitched from the pain, head spinning for a moment.
"Why?" he asked, looking at her. "What was done to you in the past to make you resent Angels with such a force? How cruelly have you been treated at the will of some of our more corrupt individuals?" His tone wasn't accusing or snide like it should have been. Instead, it was curious, almost, even a bit sad, with a slight touch of pity. He'd never known a single creature to be full of such hatred naturally, not even demons, so surely she'd suffered somehow before.
